Nancy Jane Meyers (b. December 8, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) is an a film director, writer and producer best known for comedy movies.
Meyers' career in film started mostly as a screenwriter throughout the 80s on films like Father of the Bride (1991) before debuting as a director. Her breakout (wo-)manning the camera also happened to be likely her most enduring success, the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap (1998) starring Lindsay Lohan.
Since her debut Meyers has and remains one of the most popular female directors working in Hollywood.
She was once married to fellow director, writer and producer Charles Shyer. Their children, Annie Meyers-Shyer and Hallie Meyers-Shyer, are actresses.
