This author's works (that don't have their own pages) include examples of:

  • It Began with a Twist of Fate: One small change having very big consequences happens a lot in his works pertaining to Alternate History
    • In the Harry Potter fanfic The Wrath of the Half-Blood Prince, Death Eater wannabe Mulciber decides to attack Lily Evans instead of Mary Macdonald. This earns him a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from the teen Severus Snape, permanently alienating the latter from the Death Eaters while he's still a student at Hogwarts. This leads to a truly massive Alternate Universe Fic in which at least one major canon character dies who would have lived and others live who would have died.
    • In the Harry Potter fanfic Lord of the Werewolves, Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks escape Bill and Fleur's wedding rather than being detained like everybody else — only to run into Bellatrix Lestrange lurking at their home. Tonks miscarries Teddy Lupin after doctors refuse to treat her for the resulting injuries. Lupin finally snaps, kills them and, lacking anywhere else to go, swears allegiance to Fenrir Greyback. Another Alternate Universe Fic, albeit much less drastic than "Wrath."
    • In his Afrikaner Alternate History that serves as a Deconstruction of The Draka, the Spanish winning a battle they lost during the Dutch War of Independence prompts a much earlier and more expansionist Dutch settlement of the Cape of Good Hope.
