Martha Patterson Coolidge (August 17, 1946) is an American director, producer, and writer best known for Valley Girl, Introducing Dorothy Dandrige, and Real Genius.
She was married to writer Michael Backes, currently married to director James H Spencer, and has one child with Backes.
