Mary Megan "Mare" Winningham (born May 16, 1959) is an American actress and singer-songwriter best known for St. Elmo's Fire, Miracle Mile, Georgia (for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress), and George Wallace (which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie).
She was married to actor A Martinez, William Mapel, and Jason Trucco, and has five children with Mapel. She married Anthony Edwards in 2021.
