Ivor Roberts, (19 July 1925 — 5 September 1999), was a British character actor.

His acting career began on stage, taking a brief break during World War II where he was in the Royal Navy. He started working in television in The Sixties, not as an actor, but as an ITV continuity announcer for TWW and WWN.

His first acting role on TV came in a 1971 episode of Rules, Rules, Rules. For Roberts, his seventies TV career consisted mostly of guest roles in dramas and soap operas including Coronation Street, Play for Today, Z Cars, The Sweeney, Edward the Seventh, Secret Army, and Crossroads. He also did some sci-fi in Doctor Who and comedy in Porridge and George & Mildred.

In The '80s, he slowly began to do more comedy roles with guest shots in Yes, Minister, Minder, and Sorry!. This would be followed up in The '90s with his two biggest roles (both in series by David Croft), the recurring role of Mr. Barnes in You Rang, M'Lord? and series regular Arnold Thomas in Oh, Doctor Beeching!.

He died at the age of 74.
