Creator / Douglas Camfield

Douglas Camfield (8 May 1931 – 27 January 1984) was a British TV director. He is best remembered for his work on Doctor Who, for which he directed no less than nine stories and 47 episodes between 1964 and 1976, spanning from William Hartnell's First Doctor to Tom Baker's Fourth:

• "Planet of Giants"^note Episode 3 only; the first two episodes were directed by Mervyn Pinfield (1964)
• "The Crusade" (1965)
• "The Time Meddler" (1965)
• "The Daleks' Master Plan" (1965-66)
• "The Web of Fear" (1968)
• "The Invasion" (1968)
• "Inferno"^note Episodes 1-2 and the location scenes for Episodes 3-7 only; the studio scenes for Episodes 3-7 were directed by producer Barry Letts after Camfield left the production due to ill health. (1970)
• "Terror of the Zygons" (1975)
• "The Seeds of Doom" (1976)

He also directed the Blake's 7 episode "Duel".
