David Lawrence Groh (May 21, 1939 – February 12, 2008) was an American actor. He was best known for Rhoda, Two-Minute Warning, and Blowback. The Rhoda episode where his character, Joe Gerard, marries the title character played by Valerie Harper, was the highest rated TV episode of the 1970s.
Groh graduated from Brown University with a degree in English and subsequently studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and the Actor’s Studio. He was married three times—to Karla Suzanne Pergande, Denise Arsenault, and Kristen Andersen—and had one child with Pergande. He died of kidney cancer at the age of 68.
