Commonly Used Tropes in Their Stories
- The Atoner: Shows up as a character type in a few stories, like Impmon or (in Harmless) Vlad.
- Backstory: Provides them for several characters in various stories who lack them in Canon. Child of Moonlight is focused on crafting an entire backstory for Night at the Museum.
- Cheerful Child: Another commonly used character type
- Curiosity Causes Conversion: Aloha, Never Had a Friend Like Me, and Say it Thrice (or, more specifically, Say it Again) all have the key plot point that a dangerous otherworldly being is bewildered by the nature of this unusual little girl who's unfazed by the abnormal, which provokes curiosity that slowly turns to care.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Claims that they prefer happy endings. But the characters often have to suffer and work for it first.
- The Four Loves: Enjoys using and focusing on the importance of forms of love other than romance.
- Hidden Depths: Due to their fondness for Plucky Comic Relief, these types of characters often have the chance to show their worth.
- Intergenerational Friendship: Shows up in Black Crayons and Never Had a Friend Like Me, for example.
- Interspecies Friendship: Stitch and Lilo, Annabelle and all the Autobots, Norm and Amanda, Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba... Yep, this shows up a lot.
- Killed Off for Real: Not afraid to do this, even to characters they like.
- Mechanical Lifeforms: Based on some of the fandoms they write for, they seem to enjoy working with non-biological or not-completely-biological organisms.
- Morality Pet: Either takes advantage of an already existing one or creates one.
- Nice Girl: Annabelle Lennox from Black Crayons and Amanda Adams from Never Had a Friend Like Me, and Lilo in Aloha all qualify.
- Papa Wolf: Loves this trope. Timon in When Did I Become a Parent?. Ironhide in Black Crayons. Jumba in Aloha. Norm in Never Had a Friend Like Me... Yeah, this is a recurring character type.
- Parental Substitute: Shows up pretty often, especially for the Papa Wolf characters...
- Plucky Comic Relief: Several of their stories involve giving screen time to these types of characters from Canon.
- The Power of Friendship: A huge fan of this. Wrote Never Had a Friend Like Me partially as a challenge to redeem Norm without resorting to making him fall in love with another Mary Sue Self-Insert teenage human Love Interest. It was instead done through the friendship of a child.
- Shown Their Work: A lot of information researched during the course of writing tends to show up either in the text or in the author's notes. Especially when it involves researching Egyptian Mythology and other interesting topics.
- Worldbuilding: Bookworm Gal repeatedly states they enjoy this.
