Beryl Elizabeth Reid, OBE, (17 June 1919 — 13 October 1996), was a British actress.

She started acting in 1936 as a music hall performer. Her first big success was on the radio in Educating Archie as Monica and Marlene.

She was a character actor on TV and in films often well-enjoyed. In the late '60s, she played Madge in the radio series The Trouble With You Lilian alongside Patricia Hayes as the titular Lilian, but was unable to appear in the television series of the same name, with her role being filled by Dandy Nichols.

She won a Tony Award in the play The Killing of Sister George and reprised her role in the 1968 film. Other films she appeared in during The '70s include The Assassination Bureau, Dr. Phibes Rises Again, and Carry On Emmannuelle.

She continued to appear in many sitcoms and variety shows on TV until the late '80s.

She died at 77 from osteoarthritis and kidney failure.
