From The Ashes, A New Beginning!

X-Men: From The Ashes is a Marvel Comics initiative for the X-Men franchise. Launching in the Summer of 2024, it replaces the long-running X-Men: The Krakoan Age.

Following the war with Orchis, mutantkind has left behind the craziness of Krakoa and Arrako and returned inland. However, Orchis' actions have once more ruined mutantkind's standing, returning them to a race that fears and hates them. With the X-Mansion now a federal prison to hold a mysterious "Prisoner X", the X-Men, once more outlaws, have spread out to protect the world that fears and hates them. Same as it ever was, it seems.

The titles as part of this initiative are:

    Ongoing titles
  • X Men 2024 - Written by Jed MacKay with art by Ryan Stegman. Cyclops leads a new team of X-Mennote  in his old home state of Alaska as they help mutants in need.

The initiative has nothing to do with the Uncanny X-Men storyline, From the Ashes.

Tropes Featured in this Storyline:

  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Like after a few other incidents, Kate Pryde has decided to forgo hanging around the X-Men and is just trying to be normal. Too bad Emma Frost is playing the The Call Knows Where You Live card.
  • Revisiting the Roots: Similar to other Reset Button-styled eras, From the Ashes returns mutantkind to the "feared and hated" status while the X-Men are once more dangerous mutant outlaws. Uncanny takes this further with their costumes, resembling their iconic '90s outfits
