The series follows Leon Alexander Reginald Stokes who achieves fame and fortune as Baron Von Shock, a horror television host. Years later, Leon is all washed up and living with his mother. When he discovers that the Von Shock character is getting a reboot with someone else playing him, Leon seeks to put a stop to it with the help of his former friends.
The series was planned to last eight issues but after the fourth issue the series was prematurely canceled with no explanation.
The series includes examples of:
- The Cameo: Captain Spaulding from House of 1000 Corpses appears on a television set in one of the backup segments.
- Horror Host: Leon is this as Baron Von Shock.
- Kid Sidekick: Valerie starts out as this as Ghoulie, Baron Von Shock's sidekick.
- Lighter and Softer: While still very R-rated, the extreme horror and gore in Rob Zombie's other works is not present here.
- Parallel Porn Titles: Valerie ends up playing Ghoul Girl as an adult in one of these. Leon ends up watching it and masturbating to much shame.
- She Is All Grown Up: What happens when Leon meets up with Valerie years later. Leon is initially mortified at the idea that he might have had sex with her (he didn't) but that doesn't stop him from checking out her porn.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Valerie smokes as a child.
- What Did I Do Last Night?: Leon wakes up in Valerie's place with no memory of the night before. When he discovers who Valerie is, he's horrified at the idea that he might had sex with her. (They didn't.)
