The Voices (Russian: Голоса) is a Major Grom story-arc that acts as a direct follow-up to The Game, and a prelude to the Time Of The Raven Crisis Crossover event. The story ran for four issues, which make up the sixth book of the series.

It's been six months since police major Igor Grom defeated Sergey Razumovsky, a twisted serial-murdering billionaire, in a deadly game of Human Chess. However, his victory exacted a heavy cost; Igor lost his closest friends, his girlfriend Yulia, and—worst of all—his humanity. Desperate to get out of his profound depression, Igor takes on a new case: the mass disappearance of children all across the city.

What begins as a simple missing persons case takes a turn for the bizarre, when Igor discovers that the missing children had strange connection: they all claimed to hear voices. Soon, Igor is dragged into an ancient conspiracy involving a power beyond the boundaries of the world he knows...

Tropes found in the comics include:

  • Morning Routine: The story opens with Igor going through his routine: working out, showing, dressing for work...until he reaches for his keys and accidentally grabs Yulia's shamrock necklace. This stops him in his tracks.
