Deadpool is a 2018 series by Marvel Comics, written by Skottie Young with art by Nic Klein.
Following The Despicable Deadpool, Deadpool's memories have been wiped, and he's back to being a mercenary.
The first issue was released June 6, 2018. The series lasted 15 issues, ending in July, 2019, after participating in War of the Realms. The series is followed by Deadpool (2019).
Deadpool (2018) provides examples of:
- All Bikers are Hells Angels: Deadpool is hired in issue #1 to kill a biker with super-strength.
- Bad Santa: In Issue #7, Deadpool is hired to take out Santa by a punch of kids who didn't get presents via a GoPayMe, however it turns out Sants is now drunk, foul-mouthed and ripped.
- The Bus Came Back: Black Talon returns in issue #5.
- Christmas Episode: Issue 7 takes place around Christmas, and features guest appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
- Crisis Crossover: Issues #13-14 are apart of War of the Realms.
- Didn't Think This Through: To drum up buisness for his mercenary work, Deadpool brings a Planet Eater to Earth.
- Disneyland Dad: Deadpool takes his daughter Ellie to an amusement park called Silly Seal World in Issue #8,
- Evil Knockoff:
- A second-rate version of Deadpool called Killpuddle tries to kill him in Issue #6.
- In Issue #8, evil gangster versions of Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal named Zaggy Pig and Willy Seal.
- Halloween Episode: Issue #5 takes place on Halloween.
- Heart Trauma: In Issue #9, Deadpool's heart is stolen.
- Lost World: Deadpool finds himself in W.E.I.R.D. World in Issue #4.
- Mook Maker: Groffon the Regurger vomits out human-sized spawns called Gurgers.
- Noir Episode: Issue #9 is a noir-themed issue involving Deadpool trying to find who stole his heart, complete with a appearance by Jessica Jones.
- Planet Eater: Groffon the Regurger is an obscure Celestial who regurges planets to make them suitable to give birth to his spawn on.
- Publicity Stunt: Deadpool brings Groffon the Regurger to Earth as a publicity stunt to gain clients for his new mercenary business.
- Zombie Puke Attack: This is Groffon the Regurger's main move, and how he creates his spawn.
