Well, my adventure aboard the Beagle began in 1831, when I had just finished at Cambridge.

Darwin: An Exceptional Voyage is a graphic novel Biography about Charles Darwin and is written by Fabien Grolleau and illustrated by Jeremie Royer. It is told as a story by Darwin to his children. It was first published in 2019.

This book provides examples of:

  • I Die Free: A story Darwin is told in Brazil mentions a woman killing herself to keep herself from becoming a slave again.
  • Going Native: Played With; York Minster, Jemmy Button and Fuegia Basket are natives to Tierra del Fuego, but don't remember much of their native culture. They end up shedding their European habits and clothes though returning to their roots.
  • Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil: Darwin is of this belief.
I'm telling you, history will prove me right: Slavery is a shameful thing.
It's a stain on the honor of our "civilized" nation!!
  • The World Is Just Awesome: Charles Darwin shows signs of this during his travels.
