Ahn Kiyu
Kiyu is an ex-idol trainee who returns home to live with his grandma despite his mother wanting him to continue his work as an idol. He wants to live a normal life without all the craziness of being an idol. He go to school wearing glasses that cover up his good looks. At school, he meets the girl who sits next to him, Lily, who has a permanent scowl on her face.
- Head-Turning Beauty: People constantly lose their minds when they see him.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: He just wants to have a normal life at school. When he was finally getting it, his glasses broke in the middle of the cafeteria, so everyone in the school knew his true face.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: Since he has been training as an idol since he was little, and people are often overly bright by his face, Kiyu never had any friends. When he transfers to school, he decides to wear special glasses that make him look average, in the hope of achieving a sincere friendship ... but it turns out that he is so used to having others talk to him first, that he don't know how to approach to the people. After Lily defends him from their classmates, he begins to admire her and proposes himself to make her his first friend.
- No Social Skills: Everyone is so obsessed with his appearance that they hardly treat him like a normal person. This made him a socially awkward individual who does not know how to approach others.
- So Beautiful, It's a Curse: Almost no one treats him sincerely. After learning his true looks, his classmates often talk about him as if he were an object, and some even try to use him to increase their own popularity. He also seems to have landed some creepy stalkers in his idol-in-training days, who find out what school he attends and wait for him outside for several days.
Cha Lily
- Daddy's Girl: She gets along well with her dad, and she's very protective of his feelings.
- Face of a Thug: Like her father, Lily has a naturally terrifying face, which often makes people think the worst of her. But actually she is a good girl.
- Insecure Love Interest: She cannot believe that Kiyu would ever like someone like her.
- Missing Mom: her mother has not been seen or mentioned as of yet.
- Nice Girl: She stands up for Kiyu when she sees her classmates try to force him to sing in public after learning that he is an idol in training (they don't believe him because he wears special glasses that make him look average). She did it before she knew that he was her neighbor's grandson, just because she saw that a classmate needed help.
- The Bully: She has this reputation at school, so much so that at first everyone avoids Kiyu because rumors spread that he was her new victim. Actually, she is just a quiet and lonely girl with a bully face.
