    Thrilling♡Pink/Kaito Odagiri 

The "Neighborhood Hero", Kaito loves helping others and was more than eager to accept Makoto's request to partner up with him and become a Magical Boy.


  • Big Eater: Kaito loves his food, and can often be found snacking.
  • Badass Adorable
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Kaito's main weakness is his headstrong personality and inability to speak clearly or access his feelings. This leads to them boiling over and causing problems, or making existing ones worse.
  • Idiot Hair: Two thick ones as Kaito.
  • Pink Heroine: He's the Pink to Makoto's Blue, but in this case they're both boys.
  • Pointless Bandaid: While he does get into a lot of fights and likes playing sports, there is always a bandaid on his leg when its visible. Even in various magical boy forms or when he wasn't particularly doing anything.
  • The Chosen One: After spending the day with Kaito, Momo-chan thought that he was meant to become a Magical Boy.
  • Tomboyish Ponytail: In Magical form, befitting his energetic personality.

    Rowdy◇Blue/Makoto Kaibara 

A new transfer student who Kaito comes across one day after school. Makoto saw Kaito and revealed his identity as a Magical Boy to him and requests Kaito become his partner.


  • In Touch with His Feminine Side: Out of all the Magical Boys, Makoto is the only one shown to enjoy the frills and cutesy costume. He's also graceful and proud of his beauty.
  • New Transfer Student: Him moving to Yamikumo to protect it kicks off the plot.
  • Shrinking Violet: Prior to becoming Rowdy◇Blue. Makoto kept to himself and never spoke to anyone else, but earning his Magical Boy form caused him to gain newfound confidence in himself and he started to speak up more. But he has said that there are times when he still feels a little shy around strangers, and this was mainly why he sought out Kaito in the first place.

Other Magical Boys

    Lofty☾Purple/Akito Hibino 

The older Hibino brother, Lofty☾Purple first appeared to challenge Pink and Blue as Yamikumo's sole protectors. He initially won, but Pink managed to turn things around and following his defeat, he transferred to Rengoku. He loves videogames.


  • Delinquent Hair: A blonde spiky styled ponytail when transformed, but as Akito it's more subdued.
  • Idol Singer: Tried to be one to gain popularity following his defeat, but it backfired because nobody liked him.
  • Purple Is Powerful
  • Put on a Bus: He appeared fairly often and was the star in Vol 4. But following that he's yet to appear in Vol 5, with Rakuto explaining that he's been in Tokimekia repairing the damage done to the castle.
  • Sailor Fuku: His Magical Boy costume is meant to be a stylized variant of one.

    Sparkly☆Yellow/Haruto Hibino 

The playful younger brother and partner of Akito.


    Meow Meow 🐾 Orange/Yuuichi Nekota 

A Magical Boy who led the Guardians, a group of Glittery Gold's followers. It was later revealed that he is Gold's older brother.


  • Big Brother Instinct: It's why he ended up becoming a Magical Boy, when Shin was approached by a Tokimekian with an opportunity.
  • Little Bit Beastly: In Magical Boy form he has cat ears and a tail.

Antagonists

    Charging♠Red/Rakuto Kirishima 

Kaito met him one night while Makoto was sick and they quickly bonded over shared interest until he realized that Rakuto had ulterior motives.


  • Big Brother Instinct: His ambiguous relationship with Lily aside, Rakuto seems to look out for boys younger than him.
  • Dark Magical Girl: Boy in this case, but he looks like one as Charging♠Red.
  • Girlish Pigtails: As Charging♠Red, but not when he's wearing the Prittina Magical Boy costume.
  • I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: This has been his plan since he lost to the powered up Pink and Blue. He adores Kaito and wants to dote on him.
  • Say It with Hearts: When feeling particularly playful, hearts or music notes are added to his speech bubbles. At times it can come off a little creepy.

    Lily Lilly 


  • Added Alliterative Appeal: His Magical Boy name.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Lily formally worked for Tokimekia as "Pure+Blonde". But his greedy partner overworked him and the physical and mental toll led to an accident after his power failed, nearly costing his life. Then his partner refused to save him after he called for help. He still wears his broken Transformation Ring.
  • For the Greater Good: He doesn't want other Magical Boys to experience the same anguish and turmoil he's been suffering from, which is why he wants Tokimekia to be destroyed and thinks "recruiting" its Magical Boys is perfectly acceptable.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: At least in the past, as a Magical Boy he worked hard because he loved to help others. Even now, he seems to be really kind and friendly, if a bit misguided. He still sees himself as a "pure" hero.
  • Hiding Behind Your Bangs
  • Shrinking Violet: He's extremely meek and frequently stutters when speaking.

    Momo-chan 

    Shin Nekota 

The first place Magical Boy in the "Crystal Eight" competition every year.


  • Added Alliteratve Appeal: As Glittery Gold.
  • Hidden Depths: He's a really good artist who designed his own Magical Boy costume. Hearing Yellow compliment it was partially why he came out of hiding to try speaking to the others.
  • Unsorcerer: He wanted to become a magical boy like his older brother Yuichi but discovered that the Transformation Ring didn't work on him, no matter how hard Shin attempted to activate its' magic. One of the higher-ups of Tokimekia conspired to make him a magical boy nonetheless, by secretly taking crystals created from doing good deeds and hiding them beneath Glittery Gold's throne that transferred their power to him to give him the illusion of immense power.

    Magiru Narakawa 

A young adult whose family has worked for the Kaibara's for years as the watcher of their library.
