[[caption-width-right:250:Not Ren's natural state, but fitting nonetheless.]]
->Voiced by: Creator/JohnKricfalusi (seasons 1-2, ''Adult Party Cartoon''), Creator/BillyWest (a few episodes in season 2; seasons 3-5)

->''"They think Iím crazy. But I know better. It is not I who am crazy - it is I who am MAD!"''

An asthmatic Chihuahua prone to psychotic breakdowns and acts of violence. Whatever he does, expect for it to be somehow materially motivated.
[[hardline]]

* AdaptationalVillainy: He was hardly a nice guy in the original show, but ''Adult Party Cartoon'' ramps up his bad qualities while reducing or outright excising his good ones.
* AllMenArePerverts: Just watch "Naked Beach Frenzy" and you'll know what we mean.
* AmbiguousDisorder: He is a really, really messed up individual.
* AmbiguouslyBi: WordOfGod says Ren likes human women, but "when you look like Ren, you take what you can get".
* AntiRoleModel: Stimpy thinks otherwise, though (but then, he's Stimpy...).
* AxCrazy: He's usually prone to psychotic fits of fury for little to no reason at times. This is not played for laughs in some episodes, however.
* BerserkButton:
** Don't mess with his belongings.
** Stimpy's dumbness is a large pet peeve of his.
* CatchPhrase:
** "YOU EEDIOT!"
** "YOU SICK LITTLE MONKEY!"
** "Five bucks!"
** "WHAT ''EEEZ'' IT, MAN?!"
** "YOU FAT, BLOATED EEDIOT!"
** "YOU WOOORM!"
** "YOU FILTHY SWINE!"[[note]][[Recap/RenandStimpy1x06BlackHoleStimpysInvention I WILL]] '''''[[IllKillYou KEEL]]''''' [[IllKillYou YOU!!]][[/note]]
* ButtMonkey: Gets put through AmusingInjuries sometimes, such as in "Stimpy's Invention". More often than not it's his own fault.
* TheChewToy: In the original series, though he deserves most of it, given his jerky nature.
* CivilizedAnimal: Except when he's not...
* CollectorOfTheStrange: Opera records, uncurable diseases, dinosaur droppings, and celebrity wigs. Glass coffee tables in "Ren Needs Help".
* ComedicSociopathy: Acts pretty sociopathic at times, and it's almost always played for comedy. Actually deconstructed in "Ren Seeks Help", when his sociopathy isn't played for laughs and he goes to a psychiatrist to "seek help".
* CryCute:
** In "Stimpy's Fan Club" when admitting to Stimpy that all he wants is to be loved by someone.
** In "Ren's Toothache" after all his teeth were ruined.
** Did this in "Fake Dad" while saying goodbye to Kowalski.
** Does this in "Son Of Stimpy" when Stimpy left him to look for his [[ItMakesSenseInContext sentient fart-son.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Sometimes. "What's so secret about ''that'' spot?"
* DepravedBisexual: He has sex with Stimpy and feels attracted to women, while he's not the most stable person to be around.
* DogsAreDumb: Averted. Ren is rather intelligent and most definitely very cunning. Besides...as far he's concerned, it's cats who are dumb, especially one in particular.[[note]]There are three guesses as to who it might be, and the first two don't count...[[/note]]
* EnfantTerrible: It is shown in "Ren Seeks Help" that he enjoyed torturing and mutilating animals as a child.
* EnragedByIdiocy: More like "Enrage By Eediocy". Stimpy's idiocy is what usually gets to him.
* ExpressiveEars: His huge ears tend to go downwards whenever he's depressed.
* FacePalm: Does this frequently. Best example is in "To Salve And Salve Not" when he does the after going insane for about five seconds and his face cracking and turning blue.
* FreakOut: Extremely prone to them, as he's both neurotic and psychopathic. Surprisingly for a cartoon, however, his freak outs tend to be very realistic.
* FreudianExcuse:
** He explains his tendency to be violent with "the first sensation I felt in my life was [[MinorInjuryOverreaction unspeakable pain]]. From then on, I wanted to inflict the pain on others!". [[DisproportionateRetribution He was referring to a doctor who slapped him on the buttocks right after the carriage.]]
** It is implied that his life growing up was anything but sane; one scene shows Ren's father intending to give Ren a pistol to kill a frog with, but his mother quickly intervenes....and passes Ren a [[ChainsawGood chainsaw]] instead.
* FunnySchizophrenia: "Hermit Ren". His SanitySlippage was extremely disturbing and borderline creepy, every second of it, [[BlackComedy but it was]] PlayedForLaughs.
* HairTriggerTemper: It does not take much to piss him off.
* TheHedonist: Many of the things he does is just to make himself happy.
* HeroicDog: Of the SociopathicHero variety.
* TheHermit: In the episode [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin "Hermit Ren"]].
* HeterosexualLifePartners: WordOfGod confirmed that the "heterosexual" part varies depending on [[RuleOfFunny what is funnier]] for a specific episode.
* HumanlikeFootAnatomy: He's a chihuahua, and has human-like feet.
* {{Hypocrite}}: It's jarring to see Ren smack Kowalski for smoking in "Fake Dad", telling him that smoking is unhealthy... but in many episodes of "Red and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon" we see Ren smoke constantly.
* IAmNotWeasel: He was mistaken for a number of other animals, like a rat, cat and even a mosquito.
* IJustWantToBeLoved: Says this word for word in 'Stimpy's Fan Club'.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: And how.
* InsaneEqualsViolent: Sort of averted here. Ren is both insane and violent, but almost never at the same time. It's very scarce for him to perform acts of violence when he's having his psychotic {{Freak Out}}s. ToThePain monologues, on the other hand...
* TheInsomniac: Outside of the episode ''Insomniac Ren'', his sleeping habits don't seem all that healthy. One episode showed Ren sleeping during the day, which is a symptom of insomnia.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Something he complains about in "Sven Hoek" and "Stimpy's Fan Club". Also, Stimpy seems to be his only friend ''and'' admirer.
* IronButtMonkey: Even moreso than Stimpy, but he usually brings it on himself.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Ren is frequently selfish and inconsiderate (when not outright abusive) to Stimpy. This was a more nuanced vice in the Spumco made episodes, though took over his personality in many Games episodes.
* {{Jerkass}}: Sociopathic, dyspeptic, and abusive to Stimpy.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: In the original series. More of a JerkWithAHeartOfJerk in the Games episodes ([[CharacterCheck with the odd exception]]), but returns to his old personality in some episodes of Adult Party Cartoon!
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Had his moments in the Games episodes, where he would of have a selfish motive behind his kinder actions.
* KickTheMoralityPet: To Stimpy frequently.
* KnightOfCerebus: In most cases of his epic [[FreakOut freak outs]]. When pushed to his mental limit, Ren becomes genuinely terrifying and disturbing. Some of them are quite ''dark'' for an ostensibly [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids "kids cartoon"]]; it seems as though the aim of several of his freak outs weren't exactly to incite laughter from the audience, but for pure shock value. Take, for a good example, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW3Roqmfr94 this scene]] where he very realistically descends into madness while contemplating murdering Stimpy.[[note]]Though, it's not [[LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt like he would actually do it]]. Again, it is a "kids cartoon", after all.[[/note]]
* LackOfEmpathy: It comes with being a sociopath.
* LargeHam: Usually during his freak-outs.
* LaughingMad: Frequently - Creator/JohnKricfalusi admitted Creator/BillyWest did the most extreme laughs, seeing as John isn't a professional voice actor and was unable to laugh madly enough.
* LeanAndMean: A huge sociopath, and very thin.
* ManHug: Not very manly in some instances, like "Stimpy's Fan Club".
* TheMentallyDisturbed: Pretty well sums him up.
* TheNapoleon: Much smaller than Stimpy, and is AxCrazy. Although [[YourSizeMayVary how much taller he is than Stimpy varies depending on the scene]], he is much more aggressive either way.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Ren is one of a long line of cartoon characters who have a voice based on PeterLorre.
* NoIndoorVoice: Constantly yelling even when he isn't angry.
* NoRespectGuy: He doesn't get much respect from anybody but Stimpy.
* OddCouple: With Stimpy.
* OddFriendship: One has to wonder how they became best friends in the first place. Stimpy is a KindheartedSimpleton whereas Ren is an AxCrazy {{Jerkass}}.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Pursuant to "I Was a Teenage Stimpy", he is much older than his best friend, maybe even around 60 years old in human age.
* OohMeAccentsSlipping: Billy West's voicing for Ren had a very erratic dialect to say the least. Kricfalusi had some moments too, but far more subtle.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: If Ren is [[TranquilFury acting calm whilst pissed off]], you're fucked.
* PsychopathicManchild: A total psychopath, and sometimes childish.
* SanitySlippage: Too many of them, but the most infamous examples are "Stimpy's Fanclub", "Space Madness" and "Hermit Ren". "Ren Needs Help" turns this UpToEleven.
* TheScrooge: He can have some greedy tendencies.
* {{Seme}}: In 'Adult Party Cartoon', he explicitly states himself as this.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Manly Man to Stimpy's Sensitive Guy.
* ShorterMeansSmarter: This varies, of course, due to the {{Off Model}}ness of the show - sometimes, Ren would be Stimpy's height, others, he would be noticeably smaller. No matter what his size is, though, he's smarter than Stimpy in comparison.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Ren thinks of himself pretty highly.
* SociopathicHero: He's considered a hero and is a psychopathic jerk.
* StrawNihilist: Would have been revealed to be one in the unmade episode "Life Sucks". He spends the whole episode telling Stimpy about the horrors of humanity and hammering into him that life is meaningless, horrible and stupid.
* StrongFamilyResemblance:
** Averted with Sven. He has some typical canine traits, but in general resembles Stimpy much more than Ren, both in terms of appearance and personality.
** Ren's father would either resemble Ren physically, albeit taller (Ren Seeks Help), or look more like Sven (Hermit Ren). His mother looks like him more.
* TalkingAnimal: A talking chihuahua.
* TookALevelInJerkass: In the Games episodes. One could argue he's no less sociopathic under Spumco's pen, but he lacks as many redeeming moments of genuine empathy or repentance ([[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk or reveals them to have a insincere or selfish ambition]]). According to Bill Wray, the series was actually pressured to make Ren meaner in the Games era (a complete contrast to the mandates of the Spumco seasons[[note]]Which had Ren having any kind of heart forced on the show anyway.[[/note]]). Some accounts even suggest some softer moments for Ren were intended in episodes such as "Ren's Pecs" and "Sammy And Me", but were omitted to befit this mandate.
* TranquilFury: He can get so angry that he becomes [[DissonantSerenity eerily pleasant]], which is best shown at the end of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iR6KjNmN2BA Sven Hoek]].
* TrueCompanions: With Stimpy.[[note]]Even if he would like to think otherwise...[[/note]]
* {{Tsundere}}: Borderline type A.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: Many of the misfortunes he gets are played for laughs.
* VillainProtagonist: In The Games episodes and the occasional episodes of Adult Party Cartoon.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Type A with Stimpy. The vitriol is mostly one sided on his part.
* VocalEvolution:
** When Kricfalusi returned to voicing Ren in Adult Party Cartoon, his pitch was somewhat deeper and gravelier, with his resemblance to Peter Lorre being more blatant. Allegedly this was because Kricfalusi had trouble making his voice sound right via pitch shifting.
** Billy West underwent a similar evolution. His initial roles as Ren were more helium pitched. When decided he could reproduce the voice without pitch shifting, he continue the role in his natural voice. He also started to mimic Kricfalusi's version less, his accent becoming less pronounced and the tone more nasal and hammy.
* YourSizeMayVary: Ren will often be either the same height as Stimpy or much smaller.

[[folder: Stimpson J. Cat]]
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/steempy_9189.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Joy!]]
->Voiced by: Creator/BillyWest, Eric Bauza (''Adult Party Cartoon'')

->''"I'm hiding in the closet...like an idiot."''

Stimpy is an overweight manx cat[[note]]On the other hand, maybe his tail is very, very, VERY short. Then again, his not having a tail may just be the "you-know-what" of the gag of the moment. It's not really the point either way...except when it is. [[MST3KMantra It's just that kind of show]].[[/note]] with no...er, well, let's say "little" brains (though not as extremely little as, say, [[TheSimpsons Ralph Wiggum]]) and a big heart. Despite having to deal with Ren's [[AxCrazy insanity]] and violence, he manages to put up with ''everything''.[[note]]Then again, that may also be part of the gag, since being the "eediot" he is, he's implied to not even realize what kind of person Ren really is, though that typically changes between episodes...sometimes.[[/note]]
[[hardline]]

* {{Adorkable}}: His goofiness and interest in inventing gives him this.[[note]]Of course, Ren would like to think that he's just "a dork"...[[/note]]
* AllLovingHero: He does not dislike anybody. In fact, he is never mad at Ren despite how much the latter is mean to him.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Prominent in the original series (unlike Ren, he was never portrayed as attracted to any female character, though the very first episode showed Stimpy as a chick magnet when he became famous).
** In 'The House of Next Tuesday' he uses a gadget to envision himself surrounded by sexy women. And in 'A Visit To Anthony' both characters are seen to have wives.
* AscendedFanboy: In 'Stimpy's Big Day', he wins a poem writing contest for the chance to meet Muddy Mudskipper, and becomes a big star in Hollywood, doing all sorts of TV shows and commercials, all despite Ren's "cartoons will ruin your mind" rants.
* BewareTheNiceOnes:
** He calls out on Ren and is extremely grumpy in "Son of Stimpy".[[note]]Then again, considering [[DeconstructiveParody what this episode]] [[DudeNotFunny is really all about]], it may not count...[[/note]]
** In "Terminal Stimpy", he manages to terrify Ren in a fit of rage.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Yells at Ren in "Son of Stimpy", and goes nuts in "Terminal Stimpy".
* BigEater: He enjoys eating a lot.
* BreakTheCutie: A number of episodes, most notably "Son of Stimpy".[[note]]On the other hand, this was only done as part of John K.'s attempt to prove his point about "fake pathos".[[/note]]
* BumblingSidekick: So bumbling, that Ren would just ''love'' to [[LiteralMetaphor "kick" Stimpy]] [[IncrediblyLamePun to the "side"]], but, as stated on the "You Eediot" music album...
-->"He's better, than no one."
* ButtMonkey: Very much, but not to Ren's extent.
* TheCaretaker: To Ren in "Nurse Stimpy".
* CatchPhrase: "Oh joy!"
* CatsAreMean: Subverted. Stimpy is a cat and possibly the nicest character on the show. As far as Ren is concerned, he's too stupid to be mean, anyway...
* {{Cephalothorax}}: Lampshaded in one episode when he was slated to be hanged with Ren but [[TheManTheyCouldntHang couldn't]] because he has no neck.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the pilot, Stimpy was more a slightly dopey prop for Ren to bounce off of, whose stupidity wasn't as pronounced, and barely had any speaking lines. The show quickly both evolves Stimpy into an idealistic CloudCuckooLander, and devolves him into a total "eediot".[[note]]That infamous episode about him and his "son" notwithstanding...or maybe it is part of it. It's just that kind of show, especially where its creator is concerned...[[/note]] Either way, he has almost as many limelight roles as Ren.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: He's not totally there at times.
* CollectorOfTheStrange: His [[NoseNuggets magic nose goblins.]]
-->'''Stimpy:''' I picked them myself!
* TheCutie: He is not very bright, but he has a heart of gold. Ren would disagree about him being "cute", though.
* TheDitz: He's not called an "eediot" by Ren for nothing.
* DumbIsGood: Except for when dumb is just...well, dumb.
* {{Determinator}}: He stopped at nothing to find Stinky when he got lost in "Son Of Stimpy".
* EnsembleDarkhorse: An in-universe example. Just ask Ren:
-->[[Recap/RenandStimpy2x10StimpysFanClub People ALWAYS love the STUPID one! Nobody ever loves the jerk!]]
* ExtremeDoormat: Comes with the territory of being an "eediot".
* ExpressiveEars: Rather small ears, but they are still pretty good at this.
* FatBestFriend: To Ren.
* FanOfTheUnderdog: He's the only one who seems to like Ren on this show.
* FatIdiot: Or as Ren would call him, a "fat bloated eediot".
* FatCat: A cat, and is extremely chubby.
* {{Gasshole}}: He farts in a few episodes. "Son Of Stimpy" makes it ''[[{{Squick}} the entire point of the episode]]''[[note]]Which, if the original title is any indication, he does for the [[NegativeContinuity "first"]] time.[[/note]].
* GeniusDitz: Well, he thinks of and creates his own inventions. Some of which actually work, although their level of usefulness to humanity is unimpressive at best, and absolutely zero at worst[[note]]Who would want to talk to different cheeses anyway? Also while "stay-put socks" do exist, they are not full of glue like Stimpy's, [[RunningGag etc., etc., etc.]][[/note]], making it more a subversion.
* HeavySleeper: Quite a few times. Ren would be awake at night and screaming, and not bothering Stimpy one single little bit!
* HeterosexualLifePartners: On Stimpy's side, however, this was highly debatable in the Nickelodeon days of the show, with many thinking that Stimpy was either asexual, [[BiTheWay bisexual]] with no proof, or just StraightGay. ''Adult Party Cartoon'' confirms the last implication.
* HumanlikeFootAnatomy: Subverted, except when it's not. He's usually toeless, but then again, how else would he know the feeling of [[{{Squick}} squishing kitty litter between them]]?...
* IAmNotWeasel: George Liquor has mistaken him for a dog, but didn't change his stance in this matter even after being corrected by Stimpy.
* InelegantBlubbering: He's quite a sight when sad or otherwise hurt. He'll either do this, or outright cry.
* InnocentBlueEyes: In various close-ups you can see that he has them.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He acts unintentionally annoying to Ren.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: Stimpy enjoys knitting.
* IronButtMonkey: He often gets beat up by Ren but still remains as happy as ever.
* JerkassBall: Similar to Ren, while the Games seasons mostly remained loyal to his original KindheartedSimpleton persona, there are more frequent instances of Stimpy acting obnoxious, spoilt or high order InnocentlyInsensitive when the plot requires it.[[note]]Then again, he is implied to not even realize this, being the "eediot" he is.[[/note]]
* KindheartedSimpleton: Not easy when you live with somebody like [[{{Jerkass}} Ren.]]
* MadScientist: Well, more like "Stupid Scientist". In any case, he does this in his spare time, when he's not hanging around with Ren.
* ManChild: Has the mindset of a small boy.
* MoralityChain: To Ren, to an extent - we can't be sure due to cases of DependingOnTheWriter.
* MistakenForPregnant: In "Stimpy's Pregnant", [[MrSeahorse Stimpy is thought to be pregnant]] but he was actually constipated the whole time. When Doctor Mister Horse finds out about this, he chooses to not tell them about it and the duo still believe Stimpy was actually pregnant.
* MrSeahorse:
** Subverted in "Stimpy's Pregnant", where he was MistakenForPregnant. But not that Ren or Stimpy ever found out.
** Played straight in "Son of Stimpy", where his fart comes to life, and the latter even refers to Stimpy as "Dad".
* NiceGuy: Stimpy is friendly to everyone, even ''[[{{Jerkass}} Ren.]]''
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: His voice is based on [[Film/TheThreeStooges Larry Fine]] from ''The Three Stooges''.
* OddCouple: With Ren. An understatement, but an example nonetheless.
* OddFriendship: One has to wonder how they became best friends in the first place. Stimpy is a KindheartedSimpleton[[note]]Or in his case, a kind hearted "eediot", as far as Ren is concerned...[[/note]] whereas Ren is an AxCrazy {{Jerkass}}.
* ThePollyanna: Except for "Ren Seeks Help", when he finally loses it. A draft for ''In The Army'' did have him chewing out Ren for getting them into trouble multiple times, but it seemed out of character for him, so they changed it.
* TheQuietOne: Only has three lines in "Big House Blues".
* ReedRichardsIsUseless: If Stimpy has the money and genius to make inventions like the Happy Helmet, why doesn't he sell some of them so that he and Ren won't have to keep changing jobs?
* RedIsHeroic: He has red fur.
* SanitySlippage: Even the always-happy Stimpy has had these, but he doesn't have them as much as Ren.
** PlayedForLaughs in "Hermit Ren" when Ren left him.
** Also briefly loses it in "Nurse Stimpy". He gets over it pretty quick, however.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Sensitive Guy to Ren's Manly Man. So sensitive in fact, he's willing to cry over the, uh...[[{{Squick}} "son"]] he had "lost".
* SimpletonVoice: Modeled after another famous {{Cloudcuckoolander}}, [[Film/TheThreeStooges Larry Fine]].
* SpeciesSurname: His last name is "Cat".
* StealthPun: He's a "maroon" colored cat, and as we all know...[[spoiler:[[DontExplainTheJoke He's a complete "maroon"]]]]
* StupidGood: A complete moron, and is one of the good guys. Even if it is implied that he doesn't even know what the words "good" and "evil" even mean...
* TalkingAnimal: A talking cat.
* TalkativeLoon: Although he's still a "loon" either way, he gets like this in ''Blazing Entrails'':
-->Diddle diddle fiddle piddle poodle piddle poodle racky sacky want some seafood mama.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Probably the only character who isn't a jerk in any way. But at worst he can be InnocentlyInsensitive.
* {{Uke}}: In "Adult Party Cartoon", as explicitly stated by Ren.
* WhiteGloves: Don't ask why he has fingernails over them, though.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Type A with Ren.
* VolumetricMouth: Mainly when he cries.

[[folder: Mr. Horse]]
[[quoteright:202:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mrhorse_540.jpg]]

->Voiced by: Creator/JohnKricfalusi (seasons 1-2,''Adult Party Cartoon''), Creator/BillyWest (seasons 3-5)

->''"No, sir. I don't like it."''

Mr. Horse is perhaps the OnlySaneMan. But he might be the AxCrazy one, too. He was a doctor, a psychologist, a psychically unbalanced creep, a war hero, a spokesman for the United Nations, an airplane pilot and many, many more. Who knows what he really is?
[[hardline]]

* ADogNamedDog: A horse named "Mr. Horse".
* CatchPhrase: "No sir, I don't / didn't like it."
* DeadpanSnarker: At times.
* MaskOfSanity: Comes across as the OnlySaneMan in several episodes, but there's a few instances where he shows signs that he may not be all that he seems. In "Rubber Nipple Salesmen" he'd kidnapped a walrus and in "Ren Seeks Help" he fully intended to shoot Ren after hearing about his issues.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: Depending on the episode, he's shown with various different jobs.
* OnlySaneMan: He does have his crazy moments, though.
* RenaissanceMan: He has had many jobs.
* TalkingAnimal: A talking horse.
* ThinkingTic: When asked what he thinks of something, he rubs his chin with his hoof and puckers his lips saying "Hmm...", before inevitably replying "No sir, I don't like it."

[[folder: George Liquor, American]]
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/george_2229.gif]]
[[caption-width-right:250:George Liquor: American!]]
->Voiced by: Michael Pataki

->''"It's discipline that begets love!"''

George Liquor is an American so conservative, he thinks Republicans are communists. However, that part of his character was expanded in his own cartoon, ''The Goddamn George Liquor Program'' - in ''WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow'', he's portrayed as a man with a strong faith in rules and discipline. He's only made 2 appearances on the show, due to the {{Creator/Nickelodeon}} execs' absolute condemnation for the character.
[[hardline]]

* AxCrazy: Almost to Ren's extent.
* {{Bowdlerize}}: His last name "Liquor" was censored with a RecordNeedleScratch SoundEffectBleep in original Nickelodeon airings of the show due to the alcohol reference (according to WordOfGod, Nick also interpreted the name as a play on "lick her").
* CatchPhrase:
** "What's this crap?!" and "HELLO! I'M GEORGE LIQUOR! AMERICAN!"
** "A smart-mouth, huh? A ''smart-mouth!''!"
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He made only two appearances in the show (one of which was banned for a long duration of time), Nickelodeon allegedly hated the character and were willing to let Kricfalusi take the rights to Liquor with him following his departure. A third Liquor appearance was planned for Adult Party Cartoon but only made it to storyboard stages by the time of its cancellation.
* ComedicSociopath: Mentally unstable, and it is played for comedy.
* {{Eaglelander}}: How many people do you know introduce themselves with their nationality?
* {{Jerkass}}: Probably unintentionally. He scares ''Ren'' at times.
* GoodIsNotNice: George firmly believes in discipline and rules, but takes them to an overzealous extreme.
* LargeHam: Courtesy of Michael Pataki.
* LaserGuidedKarma: In "Man's Best Friend".
* LineOfSightName: Meta-example; in an interview with Wild Cartoon Kingdom #1, John K said that he instantly conceived the character upon seeing [[http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XwGYOcz2ASU/RXJGGaNXBiI/AAAAAAAAAcE/LL_MiyiTWL4/s1600-h/wck1_pg38.jpg a sign for a (now long gone) liquor store]] in Van Nuys, California which was named George's Liquor (although the S had fallen off by the time John saw it).
* StepfordSmiler: Even when Ren was ''beating him up''.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: A strange example of a fictional character being one in real life. The episode with him getting brutally beaten up by Ren was one of the reasons for Creator/JohnKricfalusi's firing.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Victor and Victor's dad]]

Victor voiced by Danny Cooksey

* ArchEnemy: Victor, for Ren and Stimpy.
* TheBully: Like father, like son.
* BigBad: Victor is probably the closest thing to the show's main antagonist.
* CardCarryingVillain: Victor is indeed aware of himself being a bully and even carries a card with him being a certified bully on it.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Victor's dad was disappointed in Victor for giving Stimpy the Christmas underwear his mother lovingly stitched.
* ForTheEvulz: Their main motivation for most things.
* HairTriggerTemper: Victor
* {{Jerkass}}: They are even worse than Ren. ''That'' definitely is saying something.
* KarmaHoudini: Victor got away with beating up Ren, Stimpy, and Anthony in "A Visit to Anthony's". However he and his dad got their comeuppance in their next appearance, when they accidentally drove off a cliff.
* KilledOffForReal: In their second appearance, Victor's father accidentally drove off a cliff and they are not seen again after this.
** Victor has a cameo in 'Stupid Sidekicks Union.'
* KnightOfCerebus: Victor is known for being the most malicious and unpleasant character who has probably appeared on the show. And probably, he and his father are the only true antagonists in the show.
* PermaStubble: Victor's dad has this.
* {{Sadist}}: Both of them.
* SmokingIsCool: Victor's Dad.

* AdamWesting: It's Gary Owens using his ''WesternAnimation/SpaceGhost'' voice.
* BadassPreacher: His secret identity is that of a "cool youth deacon."
* BreakoutCharacter: He started out as a segment.
* CrossOver: Received one with ''Franchise/SpiderMan'' during the series' Creator/MarvelComics run. In addition to a brawl between the two superheroes, it also featured cameos by Mary Jane Watson and even Creator/StanLee.
* CatchPhrase: "Leave everything to me!" and "POWDEEEEEEEEEEERED TOOOOOOOAAAAST MAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
* CatholicSchoolGirlsRule: His assistant and implied love interest is one.
* DestructiveSavior: He once tried delivering the President to a sickly boy at Mach 5, accidentally incinerating him. Later in that same episode he destroys most of the planet fighting Waffle Woman.
* DistressCall: He gets these frequently.
* {{Gasshole}}: Farts frequently.
* IncrediblyLamePun: He is prone to making these.
--> "This lead pipe will foil your plans!"
--> "Lead? Foil? You're mixing your metal-phores."
* LargeHam: "POWDEEEEEERED TOAAAAAAST MAAAAAAN!"
* SomethingPerson: A "Powdered Toast Man."

* {{Jerkass}}: A complete grouch in real life.
* NiceCharacterMeanActor: He may act nice on his show but is most certainly not in real life.
