Zane Johnathan O’Sullivan

Codename: Outis
The Juggler officer and the pilot of the titular Mecha Cantos Sanguinius. Zane back in his younger years studied and trained to become just like his grandfather who served in Vietnam and Korea. Recruited into the G.I Joe during the return of Godzilla, he managed to make a name for himself after slaying a strange Cyclopian beast. After achieving the seeming victory against the Cobra Commander and Godzilla, He was able to finally spent time with his family in peace. However it would all come crashing down when his wife killed herself and their child, becoming hysterical after Godzilla has finally returned, and with it the new age of constant threat and monsters.

Becoming depressed after this event, Zane then would spent a long period of time unable to move on from this as not even his friends from the G.I. Joe could reach him. Then it would all change when he was then approached by a strange military group calling themselves the Jugglers.

Tropes:

  • Dark and Troubled Past: The death of his wife and child due to the rampant invasion of kaiju and terrorism. This obviously caused him to become a depressed mess back in the G.I Joe universe. Before he was offered up to become an officer for the Juggler unit.
  • The Captain: Though not always necessarily. Because after he was split up from the Robot Warriors, there's been a lot more people in charge ever since.
  • Badass Normal
    • Badass Abnormal: After piloting the Cantos Sanguinius, he gains a Technopathy power. Which allows him to do things such as communication through machines without having to open up a channel.
  • Colonel Badass: It's in his name!
  • Combat Pragmatist: When compared to others that are way more flashy.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran
  • Tele-Frag: He teleported into the Inspector's battleship and planted their bomb in, causing them to be decimated by their own device.
  • Arc Words: "Call Cantos Sanguinius!"

Haha...
A dark haired deadpan swordsman and the pilot of crimson knight Epyon. His machine is not one from the actual Gundam Wing series, but rather something that is made in its image. Coming from the previous timeline while fighting a winged-serpent, he is once again thrown into the Super Robot Wars without a break. Him and Epyon have some sort of partner-hate relationship going on, as it does nothing but thirst for great battles, which can be counterproductive when you are trying to fight alongside your allies.

Skilled with sword and in close combat, he serves as one of the important member of the team. And as one of the Robot Warriors residing in the New Horizons, the swordsman now finds himself strangely drawn to the admiral of the ship, and perhaps something more will blooms from it.

Tropes:

  • Master Swordsman: He is very skilled with a blade, as it is his whole thing. When piloting the Epyon he wields beam saber, and outside of it he wields a katana.
  • The Berserker: The Epyon has a bloodlust for battle and will sometimes go berserk because of it. During the Area 51, the Epyon's limitation was unleashed due to the outside interference, causing it to attack allies and alike before being put down.
  • Close-Range Combatant: He is rarely seen using ranged weapons at all.
  • Cool Sword:

Cool Sword in question.
  • Flash Step: He's capable of teleportation. Using this in conjecture with his sword skills.
  • The Tease: Him and the admiral of the New Horizon have a thing going on. He once princess carried her to safety while they were injured.
  • Tall, Dark, and Snarky or perhaps Tall, Dark, and Handsome
  • Straight Man: Generally he is not the one to crack jokes, but the one on the end of it. In particular, Albert Gloomsworth likes to joke around with him a lot.
  • Cutting Through Energy: He did the impossible while he was fighting against Wendolo — cutting through an explosion. Although that wounds him greatly in the process.
  • Detachable Blades: Though not by choice, as it was the result of Shinya Mizorogi breaking his sword.
  • Ship Tease: Alina (Helena X Alistair)
