Ryou Narushima
- Alas, Poor Villain: When Ryou has finally found a peaceful life and grows past his bloodthirsty ways, he falls down in a forest unable to move and dies after the final battle. Begging not to die alone, then eventually accepting his death.
- Combat Pragmatist: Justified as Ryou initially practices Traditional Karate, a martial art that practices pragmatic attacks to the groin and eyes. In a no holds barred fight there is no line Ryou would cross in order to win whether it was biting, eye gouges, throat strikes, grounded head kicks, attacks to the back of the head, or the use of weapons, improvised or not.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: Ryou was an once an average kid who practiced Karate to defend himself in prison. After he gets out, Ryou becomes an infamous man who is the cause of many rapes and deaths.
- Wrestler In Allof Us: In the second half of the series, Ryou takes up Mixed Martial Arts. He starts employing more grappling in his fighting after that.
