    In General
  • Dress-Coded for Your Convenience: All Buddhas in this faction go shirtless or bare a lot of upper body (in the case of Yasha) in order to show off colored tattoos on their shoulders and chests.
  • Rare Random Drop: All members of this faction are gold (5 stars).
  • Temporary Online Content: All of them are limited event summons.
  • Undying Loyalty: Like the Four Heavenly Kings, these guardians of cardinal directions are loyal to Fudō in the center.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: The most covering outfit in this faction belongs to Yasha, and even that still bares his shoulders and nearly all of his torso.

"Victor of three realms", guardian of the East and the reincarnation of Ashuku Nyorai, a highly Hot-Blooded man who loves fighting, especially against stronger opponents, and arguing.
  • BFS: He fights with a very large scimitar.
  • Hot-Blooded: The most overtly gung-ho member of his faction with a peculiar fondness for getting into arguments.
  • Mars and Venus Gender Contrast: He is the gender and gender expression opposite to Ashuku herself despite being her reincarnation. While she's soft and ladylike, he's brash and quick-tempered.

  • Combat Stilettos: Goes into battle on a pair of golden heels.
  • It Amused Me: Likes to toy with and set traps for others for his own amusement, and likes to irritate others, especially his superior Fudō, while kicking back and chuckling.
  • Japanese Pronouns: Use the second-person pronoun otaku, a pronoun that conveys a detached attitude and, ironically, light respect.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He may be a mean-spirited jackass, but on occasion can truly be caring towards those in danger and would do anything to save them.
  • Jerkass: One of the few openly jerkish characters, a constantly smug guy with a sadistic sense of amusement who likes getting on others' nerves.
  • Only Friend: Hōshō, or "Hō-chan", is the only person he's affable with. He's irritating and dickish to everyone else.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Rarely seen without a smirk plastered across his face.

Guardian of the North (in Shingon sect's Tōmitsu belief) and the reincarnation of Fukūjōju Nyorai, a ninja-themed Buddha with a talent for going unnoticed and a knack for speaking English every other second.
  • Cute Monster Guy: Like Sanshi and Rasetsu, he's a type of monster but has no monstrous features and looks exactly like a human.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Dresses in black plus facial covering, adopts a stealthy movement style, but is still one of the good guys.
  • Gratuitous English: Plays this trope with an annoying frequency. You try finding a line of his that doesn't contain at least one English word, but also try remembering the last time he speaks a complete English sentence. He claims to be interested in studying foreign languages and have decided to take English due to its popularity, but has trouble finding a teacher, possibly explaining the rampant broken English.
  • Ninja: He styles himself after a stereotypical ninja, claims to be a "shadow" and dresses accordingly. His internal affairs gear even has a shirt with "I ❤ NINJA".
  • Razor Floss: Fights with fine threads that appear to be drawn from either ends of his vajra.
  • Sarashi: Wears black wrappings underneath his shirt.
     34 – Ususama Myōō | Ucchuṣma (烏枢沙摩明王)

Guardian of the North (in Tendai sect's Taimitsu belief) and the reincarnation of Fukūjōju Nyorai, the "god of the toilet" who places strong importance on neatness and hygiene.
  • Expy: Of Izumi Kyōka – a complete and utter Neat Freak with very high and particular standards for cleanliness.
  • Foil: To Tamon – both are guardians of the North, but Ususama is obsessed with cleaning and hygiene, while Tamon is a chronic hoarder with a renowned pig sty of a room.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: Being the keeper of hygiene, he's angelic in appearance with lots of white, flowing hair and garment, and gold accents.
  • Ham and Deadpan Duo: Deadpan to Kujaku's Ham.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Suiten and King Konjikikujaku, referring to the latter as "Kuja-kun".
  • Like an Old Married Couple: Possibly with Kujaku; most special dialogues he has is towards him, and most of them is nagging him to pick up his own feathers.
  • Neat Freak: This guy's defining characteristic; being the god of the toilet, he's obsessed with and particular about cleaning to the max, and refers to battle as cleaning.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Is either this, The Rival or Like an Old Married Couple with Kujaku; though he apparently considers him close enough to give him an Affectionate Nickname, he's intensely annoyed by his Perpetual Molt, yells at him often for it, and implies to not enjoy doing housework with him.
Kujaku: Finally, we have been freed from work… all hail freedom!
Ususama: You just took the words right out of my mouth.
