    Marinette
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Marinette is less anxious and more creative here. She's also less obsessed with Adrien here.
  • Adaptational Badass: While still The Klutz, this version of Marinette is a bit better on her feet than her canon-self.
  • Animal-Themed Superbeing: Ladybugs, specifically.
  • Didn't Think This Through: When she uses her Lucky Charm to separate Chloe and Adrian, Tikki notes that if she announced her presence, Nino would've stopped the party to fight her.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Downplayed. Chloé is a big fan of her as Ladybug, cosplaying as her, wanting to take multiple selfies with her and unlike most people, Chloé shows genuine appreciation towards Ladybug, and she's always thankful to her for saving her in any situation.
  • Everyone Has Standards: When Alya suggests she steal Adrien's phone to delete an embarrassing voice text, she says she can't since she's a hero, and a hero would resort to stealing just to avoid embarrassment.
  • Punch Catch: She catches a punch from Chloe after sneaking up on her. She compliments her reflexes.

    Adrien
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Adrien is more rebellious, openly defiant and resentful towards his father for smothering and controlling him. He also goes through a major Character Development arc regarding his misbehavior as Chat Noir, to the point where, by the end of Season 3, Master Fu names him as a Guardian alongside Marinette.

    Chloe
  • A Day in the Limelight: "Dawnbreaker" follows Chloé's POV rather than Marinette, as she's the titular akuma.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Chloe is inspired to make serious efforts to change for the better after Ladybug saves her, though this isn't an easy road for her by any means.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: She and Ayla bond over the fact they're Ladybug fans.
  • Ascended Fangirl: Played for Laughs. Ladybug's quite startled to learn that she's 'Bugaboo1984', who worked with Alya under the anonymous alias to help her create the Ladyblog's sorting system.
  • Badass Bystander: In "Frightningale", she teaches civilians impromptu dance moves to protect her from her akumatized father.
  • The Chosen One: In contrast to the tv series, she is actually given the Bee Miraculous by Marinette.
  • Disappointed in You: She says this to her Scarlet Lady self, calling her a disappointment of a wielder.
  • Point of Divergence:
    • Rather than immediately recanting her promise to improve after Ladybug saves her from Stoneheart, a star-struck Chloe declares that she'll be like her, and takes said vow quite seriously, though she struggles with the execution.
    • Unlike canon, Marinette gave her the bee miraculous, making her a genuine chosen one as oppose to The Unchosen One she was in canon. Also, she didn't reveal herself as Queen Bee, which means she still has her Secret Identity.
    • Since she later receives the Tiger Miraculous, Juleka receives the Bull Miraculous.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Part of why Chloe struggles so much in her efforts to become a better person is because she fears others will think she's weaker. Finding a balance proves difficult for her.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After Marinette saved her life from Stoneheart, she decides to become a genuine superhero.
  • Innocently Insensitive: While attempting to be a better hero, she accidentally ignores Sabrina, which leads to her getting akumatized into Ex-Friend.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • She still ends up accusing Marinette of stealing her bracelet after she suggests it rolled out of her bag.
    • Despite actually getting a shot at the Ladybug role in "Frightningale", she has to give it up when she and Adrien have no chemistry.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • "Mayura" includes Chloe freaking out a bit after learning that the very girl she's bullied for years is none other than her idol Ladybug.
    • At the climax of "Miracle Queen", Chloe breaks down upon realizing that her fake defection led to the Miracle Box falling into the hands of the Old Order and to Master Fu erasing his memories.
  • Not Helping Your Case: Chloe tries to assist the heroes in saving her father by confronting Lady Justice and calling her out, claiming that the situation isn't nearly as bad as she's making it out to be.
  • Official Couple: With Luka.
  • Panthera Awesome: She becomes this when she receives the Tiger Miraculous.
  • Personality Powers: She sees the Tiger Miraculous as this. Given her Glory Seeker tendencies and a tiger being a ferocious predator.
  • Purple Is Powerful: After receiving the Tiger Miraculous and becoming Cheshire, she gains a purple costume and a Megaton Punch.
  • Reformed Bully: She genuinely tries to be this. Unfortunately, she tends to fall back on her Alpha Bitch tendencies.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Despite losing the Ladybug role in the music video, Clara decides to let her lead a dance scene.
  • What the Fu Are You Doing?: Just like canon, Chloé tries to emulate Ladybug's mad yo-yo skills, only to end up entangling herself.
