* SmokingIsCool: Has a cigarette in his mouth in the PC manual and in the UsefulNotes/WiiWare official artwork. [[{{Bowdlerization}} It's removed from pictures on the English side of the website, though]].

* {{Fanboy}}: Of the {{UsefulNotes/MSX}}. He even wears an MSX shirt under his robes, which is kept in the remake's art (though obscured for copyright reasons).
** Amazingly, his shirt in the sequel says [[{{Creator/Nintendo}} Famicom]]. Apparently he's come to accept and love the rival company. Or it's a sign that Xelpud has sold out.

* TakeThat: Talks smack about the easiness of modern gaming. In the original version, he also likes to take potshots at the UsefulNotes/{{Famicom}}.

* AscendedExtra: In the UsefulNotes/WiiWare version The Boss uses an unused music that was never used in the original game, Good Morning Mom.

Interim representative of the 4th children. He plans to create the ultimate fish warrior to restore the 4th children to their previous status. He serves as your guide through the Tower of Oannes in [[VideoGame/LaMulana2 La Mulana 2's]] DLC of the same name.

* LastOfHerKind: [[spoiler:She somehow survives Eg-Lana's collapse at the end of La-Mulana 2, making her the last survivor of the sixth children.]]

* DisappearedDad: To Lumisa in La-Mulana 2, since he's been in hiding after the events of the first game.
* {{Expy}}: Lemeza's yet another homage to Franchise/IndianaJones, of course. At one point one of the game's developers said [[https://blog.playstation.com/archive/2020/03/17/la-mulana-1-2s-creator-takumi-naramura-reveals-the-development-secrets-of-the-classic-platformer-series/ in an interview]], when asked if he thought La-Mulana would make a good movie, responded that a movie would get him in trouble for "shamelessly appropriating Indiana Jones."

* HeroWithBadPublicity: In La-Mulana 2. [[spoiler: Sure, he saved the world from Mother's wrath, but he also destroyed a world heritage site in the process. The public apparently only learned about/believed the latter, so he's been on the run from Interpol.]]

* {{Bowdlerization}}: The English version of the remake calls her "Great Mother" rather than "Holy Mother." The remake also changes her third form to look like a skeleton rather than the Virgin Mary.

* LoadBearingBoss: Just like last time, destroying her causes Eg-Lana to collapse. It's actually downplayed this time, though, since you don't have a time limit to escape.

** HappilyAdopted: Possibly. At any rate, if Lemeza isn't biologically her dad, she seems to ''think of'' him as such - she calls him Papa in the April Fools video, and all material that isn't directly referencing Shorn calls Lemeza her father. How happy she actually is with him remains to be seen.
* MsFanservice: While some of her optional outfits are a bit cheesecakey, none of them are as revealing as what [[spoiler: [[ShamelessFanserviceGuy Lemeza]]]] has worn. Comments by Mulbruk in her sleep imply that she's also this in-universe, with one comparing her to [[Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit Jessica Rabbit]].

* WhipItGood: Uses a whip as a tool and weapon, just like her father.
