    Barbarian
The Barbarian is the greatest warrior of all. But beware of magic, for your sword is no defence against it.

  • Barbarian Hero: He's a Barbarian, and a hero.
  • Boring, but Practical: A Barbarian won't do much more than attack. That said, he's tough enough that he doesn't 'need' to do anything else.
  • Loincloth: The barbarian wears one, and it actually goes well with his badass pose on the cover.
  • Magically Inept Fighter: A Barbarian gets no special abilities or spells, and the best they can do is use Spell Scrolls which are consumed upon use.
  • Super-Toughness: With 8 Body Points, barbarians are the class able to take the most damage.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Unlike every other class in the game, they get no special abilities, but start with one of the best weapons and the most body points.

    Dwarf
The Dwarf is a good warrior and has the unique ability to disarm traps without a tool kit.

  • Our Dwarves Are All the Same: This axe-wielding craftsman is so iconic that his race is his job description.
  • Utility Party Member: He can fight, but not as well as the Barbarian, his starting equipment isn't nearly as good, and he has no access to spells like the other two characters. What the Dwarf brings to the table is his ability to disarm traps, which can save the party from a lot of life-threatening dangers.

    Elf
The Elf is a master of both magic and the sword. He must use them both well to triumph.

  • Magic Knight: The Elf's entire role is to be an alright but somewhat fragile fighter with access to one of the 4 elements of magic.

    Wizard
The Wizard has the power to cast many spells. In combat, however, he is weak. He cannot wear armour or use large weapons. Therefore he must cast spells wisely and avoid physical combat.

  • Squishy Wizard: While that Wizard character gets plenty of spells to cast, he is very fragile and is a poor fighter who can be taken out with a single hit by the stronger monsters if they get close.

    Druid

    Warlock

    Bard

    Knight

  • Stone Wall: As the only class able to wear Plate Armour without a movement penalty, and 3 defensive abilities that require a shield, the Knight tends to be this.

    Rogue

  • Fragile Speedster: The Rogue can wear the least armour out of any heroes, only being able to increase his starting 2 defence dice to three. That said, he has the unique ability of being able to run through monsters and is good at hit and run.
