  • Blow You Away: Amihan's main power. She can control wind currents using her gem. Amihan can also fly with the help of her Gem of Air. She can also turn her entire body into air.
  • Foil: To Juvila. Amihan is considered as the greatest warrior in Lireo. In the past, Juvila was known as an unbeatable heran of Etheria. When the sanggres travel to the past, Amihan and Juvila battled each other with Amihan coming out as the winner.

The eldest daughter of Minea and Hagorn and the keeper of the Gem of Fire. Pirena grew up believing that her mother and sister hated her and grew up ambitious to inherit the throne. She allies with Hathoria when Minea crowns Amihan as her successor. Pirena is known for her intelligence and cunningness. She wields a pair of daggers in battle.

  • Death Seeker: Pirena stabs herself after finding out that her mother truly loved her. She refuses Danaya's healing abilities at first, only allowing herself to be healed after reconciling with her sisters
  • Foil: To Andora. Both of them are the smartest and most cunning warriors in their respective groups.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Pirena's loyalty switches during the beginning of the series. She stole the Gem of Fire and allied with Hagorn when Minea chose Amihan as her successor. When Minea dies, Pirena returns to her sisters and returns the Gem of Fire. this is subverted in that Pirena only returned to trick her sisters and to take their gems as well as the crown from Amihan. She finally sides with Amihan, Alena, and Danaya after learning the truth about her mother's love.
    • This becomes useful when she pretends to fall under Andora's mind control.
  • Light 'em Up: The Gem of Fire brings light to Encantadia. Pirena uses this to shroud Encantadia in darkness.
  • Meaningful Name: Pirena comes from the word pyre which is associated with fire.
  • Patricide: In the final battle of season 1, Pirena is the one who kills Hagorn.
  • Playing with Fire: Pirena has complete control of fire and heat thanks to the Gem of Fire.

The daughter of Minea and Enuo and the keeper of the Gem of Water. Alena has no ambition for the throne and instead wants to find true love and be happy. Alena eventually falls in love with the mysterious Ybarro. Her main weapon is a spear although Alena's voice is equally effective in combat.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Alena is arguably the kindest and nicest among the four sisters. This doesn't stop her from turning her blade against Danaya and (to a lesser extent) Lira when she finds out that they caused her son's death.
  • Foil: To Odessa. Both are the most emotional members of their groups. Both are also considered the nicest sanggre and heran, respectively. The two also fall in love with the same man - Ybrahim.
    • This extends to their abilities. Alena's voice can charm and disarm her opponents while Odessa, as a member of Hera Aega, can manipulate the emotions of others.
  • Killed Off for Real: In the final season, Alena is killed by Hagorn in exchange for keeping Arman alive. She joins Ybrahim in devas. Alena returns in the last episode as a spirit..
  • Making a Splash: Alena can manipulate any form of water with the Water Gem. She usually combines this with her vocal abilities.
  • Meaningful Name: Alena comes from the Filipino word alon which is the wave of the ocean.

  • Frame-Up: Using her shapeshifting ability, Pirena committed numerous atrocities throughout Encantadia to frame Danaya. She is banished to the human realm despite being innocent.
