- People's Republic of Tyranny: In spite of its name, "Democratic Republic" of Ecuador is quite authoritarian. Also subverted, since despite all authoritarian tendencies, it's nowhere near as dictatorial or tyrannic as the junta of North Ecuador.

- Epic Fail: The Quito Pact was created with the assumption it would unite all anti-Justicialist forces, but at its founding included just Brazil and North Ecuador. Furthermore, Brazil's willingness to support a junta in a coup against an elected president made basically every country unwilling to join, and 2 decades later, the Pact is now an embarrassing reminder of Brazilian isolation, and in spite of its goal of "defending the Americas against Peronism", it's nothing more than an alliance between the two juntas.
