The Holy Guardians are a group dedicated to doing battle against the Xeno Organization.

In General

• Point of Divergence: Due to multiple differences in the alternate timeline, many of the canon characters have changed paths in life.

Thunder Lord Laharl

Leader and founder of the Holy Guardians who defend Saint Etna. As both Krichevskoy and his mother survived in this timeline, this Laharl is much nicer compared to his canon self.

• Blow You Away: Uses the power of Wind in many of his specials.
• Point of Divergence: During the illness that required his mother to trade her life for his, he managed to miraculously pull through. This meant his mother gets to live, and Sicily didn't need to live as a demon/angel hybrid.
• Gender Bender: Just like his canon self. However, since Rainier was never called in to babysit him, this Laharl never developed his phobia of large-breasted women. As a result, "Thunder Lady Laharl" is notably nonchalant about accidentally switching genders.
• Super Mode: Thanks to Saint Etna temporarily granting him a Saint's power, he becomes "Holy Thunderlord Laharl", switching out his usual sword for a immensely powerful axe.
• Took a Level in Kindness: Several, compared to his canon counterpart.

Frost Lord Rozalin

Wielder of Ice, the new scion of the Snow Clan was scouted to join the Guardians. While she acts aloof and mysterious, she's usually thinking about her next snack.

• An Ice Person
• Point of Divergence: As Zenon's soul never went to Veldime, Rozalin never became Zenon's new host.
• Highly-Visible Ninja: Justified as in canon, since Snow Melody is perpetually covered in snow, making white a practical color for blending in.

Flame Lord Majorita

Wielder of fire, the former Necromancer serving under Void Dark has changed professions.

• Bare-Fisted Monk: Prefers hand-to-hand combat.
• Blood Knight: More chipper and happy to brawl.
• Happily Adopted: Admits to being raised by Shinelord Axel, and clearly admires him.
• Playing with Fire: One of her passives can launch a Fire-based attack at whichever enemy is about to act next.
• Super Mode: Her "Fire Fist" Flamelord self-gains a powerful set of claws, though it becomes quite taxing for her to use for long periods of time.
• Stripperific: She's wearing nothing beneath her jacket.

Shine Lord Axel

The final member of the Holy Guardians, this Axel is highly narcissistic, but has power to back up his ego.

• Light 'em Up
• Took a Level in Badass: Compared to his canon self, yes. He managed to somehow put Valvatorez on the defensive.

Saint Etna

The person whom is protected by the Holy Guardians. A demure young demon who wields immense holy power.

• Adaptational Personality Change: As this Etna was never picked up by Krichevskoy, she is notably quieter and shyer.
• Barely-There Swimwear: The "Legend of the Holy Swimsuit" event sees her picking up one of these, which utterly mortifies her.
• Benevolent Boss: Is notably much kinder to her Prinnies, whom follow her out of sheer loyalty. One even volunteers itself for her "Prinny Raid Rewind" skill, knowing it'll be blown up multiple times.
• Combat Medic: A magically-based variant, learning Fire, Ice and Wind Magic alongside Healing. For a time, she was also the only unit with a Revive skill.
• Girlish Pigtails: Just like her canon self.
• Protectorate: The Guardians were created to keep her safe from the Xeno Leader's machinations.
• Rank Up: As the ranks of the Xeno Faction keep increasing, Saint Etna fervently prays for her allies to become stronger. Her prayer is answered, becoming the catalyst for her allies' increase in power.
• Super Mode: Upon maxing out her purification power, she becomes "Holy Saint Etna", which grants her the power to purge malice. She is eventually able to use this power to save Flonne from Zenon's influence.

Summoner Adell

• Point of Divergence: With Zenon's soul never finding Veldime, the False Zenon had no reason to travel there and spread his curse, ensuring that Shura and Serion remain unaffected and are around to raise their son. As a result, this Adell is noticeably much happier.
• Megane
• Summon Magic: His particular forte, which is what gets him recruited to the Guardians. Unlike traditional summoning, which needs certain catalysts, he simply needs a clear mental image of whom he needs to summon.
