- Our Mermaids Are Different: Both Merponies and Sea Ponies live in Aquastria.
- The Power of Friendship: Much like its Equestrian allies, Aquastria's ideology is friendship and harmony.
- Punny Name: Its name is "Equestria", but spelled with "Aqua" instead. This refers to it being an underwater counterpart to its overland ally.

) is the benevolent divine ruler of Aquastria.- Adaptational Backstory Change: While he's still a cousin of Celestia and Luna as in canon, the Codexverse expands on this - the reason why they're cousins is because their grandparents are technically 'siblings' via being creations of King Equus.
- Adaptational Badass: He's depicted in the Codexverse as a bonafide god. He also rules Aquastria, which presently has the most powerful Navy in the world. He also participated in many wars such as the 'War Against Chaos' in the Fourth Age, and the final battle against the Oceanaiads' parental deities at the end of the Third Age.
- Beware the Nice Ones: He's a benevolent king and leader, but he is an ancient and powerful god whose kingdom has one of the most powerful Navies in the world, and has participated in some major events himself. And despite allowing many undersea races to live in Aquastria, including remorseful Oceanaiads, he also has limits - he notably banished malevolent Great Dolphin clans to remote Aquastrian territories.
- Divine Parentage: His mother is Pearl Tiara, an Alicorn goddess who created the Sea Ponies. His father is a Great Lion, though it's unknown whether he was a mortal or a god himself. And through Pear Tiara, he's a grandson of Profectus Equus/Iridium Signet, one of the Thirteen Empyreans, and a great-grandson of King Equus.
- The Good King: Much like his canon counterpart, he's the King of Aquastria and a benevolent leader. Notably, he allowed several Oceanaiads to live in his territories despite their people's crimes and reputation, which naturally led to ethnic tensions rising.
- Hiding Your Heritage: He's a Felicorn due to his mother being an Alicorn and his father being a Great Lion, but people don't know this because he keeps almost all of his Alicorn traits hidden, save for his Sea Pony tail.
- Immortal Ruler: He's the divine sovereign of Aquastria.
- Related in the Adaptation: Through his mother, Pearl Tiara, he is a nephew of Emperor Golden Scepter, an Expy of the Emperor of Mankind, and Queen Hylia, an Expy of the goddess Hylia. In a weird way, he is also related to Twilight Sparkle, who is technically his great-aunt via being the Reincarnation of Mana Equus, one of the Thirteen Empyreans.
- Stellar Name: As in canon, his name is Leo, which is one of the 88 modern constellations.
- Winged Unicorn: He's a Felicorn, which means he's an Alicorn with feline traits. However, he keeps all of his traits hidden, save for his Sea Pony traits, because they're not very useful underwater.
