Children of Danu
A secretive pagan cult of Druids in Ireland, seeking to overthrow Christianity to restore the Celtic culture of Classical Antiquity. They worship Danu, the mother goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a Celtic pantheon of gods of the Irish mythology. open/close all folders

- Druidic Sickle: Since they're a druidic cult, their main weapon happens to be sickles.
- The Remnant: They're a pagan cult existing centuries after Ireland went Christian.
- Sinister Deer Skull: They often wear deer skulls.

The abbot of Meath and secretly the Ollamh Druid of the Children of Danu, he resents Christianity and secretly practices the way of the druids. He found the Children of Danu and rose to become the highest ranking Christian official in Ireland so he could overthrow the Church and restore the ancient Celtic religion.
- A Handful for an Eye: He'll kick up dust from the carpet and floor in order to blind Eivor.
- Flunky Boss: Eivor and Flann fight him while he's assisted by two guards.
- Hiding Behind Religion: Plays the part of abbot while being secretly leader of the Children of Danu.
- Sinister Minister: He's the abbot of Meath and a member of the Children of Danu.

A Lord of the Children of Danu and a dockmaster who oversees the accumulation of resources for the cult.- Force Feeding: One of his letters to the Cursed tells how he force feeds the honey from Ardmel mixed with milk to his victims until their bowels explode.
- Friend in the Black Market: He serves as a source of illicit supplies for the Children of Danu.

A Lord of the Children of Danu and a priest who practices the ways of the fire druids.- BFS: Wields a two-handed greatsword.
- Enfante Terrible: His reaction to being disciplined by his parents as a child was to nail their cottage door shut before burning them alive inside.
- Flunky Boss: He's assisted by some fellow Children and an Irish wolfhound.
- Not in This for Your Revolution: He's with the Children of Danu less because he fully believes in their tenets, and more because it allows him to burn what he wants.
- Pyromaniac: He loves setting stuff on fire and uses fire bombs in combat.
- Self-Made Orphan: He set his house on fire with his parents inside after being disciplined by them as a child.

A Lady of the Children of Danu and an influential merchant of Dublin who joins the cult to expand her influence.- Corrupt Corporate Executive: Merchant in this case. She mainly uses threats and torture as a bargaining tool.
- Dark and Troubled Past: When her parents died during the burning of Dublin, she grew up cadging for apples and stealing cloth.
- Hard-Drinking Party Girl: The woman drinks like a fish, but can't win against the alehouse champion.

A High Druid of the Children of Danu who specializes in crafting poisons to eliminate the cult's enemies through sacrificial rituals.- Poison Is Evil: She poisoned Flann Sinna's army and blamed Bárid for the poisoning.
- Wham Line: She drops one on Eivor, that Ciara was a Child of Danu.
- Who Dares?: She shouts this when Eivor and Ciara interrupt the summoning circle.
