Children of Danu
A secretive pagan cult of Druids in Ireland, seeking to overthrow Christianity to restore the Celtic culture of Classical Antiquity. They worship Danu, the mother goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a Celtic pantheon of gods of the Irish mythology.

  • Druidic Sickle: Since they're a druidic cult, their main weapon happens to be sickles.
  • The Remnant: They're a pagan cult existing centuries after Ireland went Christian.

The abbot of Meath and secretly the Ollamh Druid of the Children of Danu, he resents Christianity and secretly practices the way of the druids. He found the Children of Danu and rose to become the highest ranking Christian official in Ireland so he could overthrow the Church and restore the ancient Celtic religion.

  • Force Feeding: One of his letters to the Cursed tells how he force feeds the honey from Ardmel mixed with milk to his victims until their bowels explode.
  • Friend in the Black Market: He serves as a source of illicit supplies for the Children of Danu.

A Lady of the Children of Danu and an influential merchant of Dublin who joins the cult to expand her influence.

     Niahm, the poet (The Wren)

A Lady of the Children of Danu and a poet who sways people to the cult.

     Bécc mac Nath-í, he of the oceans (The Seed)

A Lord of the Children of Danu and a sailor who procures weapons from foreign lands to the cult.
  • The Dragon: Since you can kill every other member except him until Barid dies, he's this for the Oak.
  • Epic Flail: Wields a flail in combat in tandem with a shield.

A High Druid of the Children of Danu who considers herself a daughter of The Morrígan, Celtic goddess of death and disease. She searches for mummified bodies in the bogs of Meath to make poisons.

A High Druid of the Children of Danu who has a fascination with Celtic god Crom Cruach.

     Setnaé, druid of the mists (The Cursed)

A High Druid of the Children of Danu who specializes in crafting poisons to eliminate the cult's enemies through sacrificial rituals.
  • Poison Is Evil: She poisoned Flann Sinna's army and blamed Bárid for the poisoning.
  • Wham Line: She drops one on Eivor, that Ciara was a Child of Danu.
  • Who Dares?: She shouts this when Eivor and Ciara interrupt the summoning circle.
