On March 25th, 2012, a user by the name of Marduk Kirck, better known as "Nightmare" Nyx Sparkle, and his friends had begun work on what could possibly be called the Blog/EquestriaDaily of {{Facebook}}.

What was originally a normal ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' {{Facebook}} fan-page, moreover the most popular of fan-pages at nearly 10,000 "likes", became both a WretchedHive and chaotic haven for lulz for many after a swift hijacking on December 14, 2011. The page itself can be found [[http://www.facebook.com/nyx.BRONYISM here]].

Now that's just the titular brony fan-page hijacking in a nutshell. "Bronyism" is also TvTropes' collective title for the entire series of page hijackings and other antics by a mischievous group known on {{this wiki}} as the [[FanNickname Hijacker Trolls]]—and to themselves, the "community". What was originally a couple of practical jokes on some Music/JustinBieber fans soon escalated into a growing trolling overly-fanatic fanboys and girls.

The story itself is built on Kayfabe[[note]]with the concept that the hijackers and others are not just about them misbehaving on the internet but are living out an epic tale[[/note]] and set in different eras measured by common story arcs. The [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic bronies]], [[Music/JustinBieber the belibers]], [[Music/OneDirection directioners]], etc. fought back most of the time and played the part the trolls couldn't do without: The good guys. Both the beliebers and directions each often leave after their part in the StoryArc is over, but many bronies continue on the Hijacker Trolls' tale.

Although there have been many characters have come and gone who played an important role, there are several who still remain prominent. The spotlighted cast is currently composed of Trollvorlord--when not on one of his content blocks--Drake, who has made a substantial comeback since his time on Bronyism, and Hmac, who still runs the tag page.

[[folder:Pre-Bronyism (BHTC/BHL Era)]]
The longest part of the saga, which ''Bronyism'' purists believe to be the true story, started back in late March '11. Current knowledge of the events, as told by Drake, are as following; Drake made his first fake account, Jesse [=McDonald=], which was soon deleted. Two months later, he made "Umad Brah" and went to "I Hate Justin Bieber" page to quickly stir up trouble and basically made a name for himself overnight. He soon met George Banningham on IHJB who tells him that he's gotten admin on a Justin Bieber page. They talk over and he admins him and they start their first hijacking spree. On June 8, a nobody would soon forget, they acquired BHL. Drake adopts "2IC" as his title while George takes 1IC. Monotone is added as admin a day later and Oak two days after him. Around midnight of his arrival, Oak deadmins everyone but himself on BHL. Denizens of page split between the infamous Bieber Hijacking and Trolling Crew (2IC, 1IC, Abdolf, Oak, Tepig the Oshawatt, Hank, and Ronny) and the Rogue Trolls that oppose Oak (Noah (Troll King), Trollchic, Farnsworth, Bagel, a couple others). BHTC and Rogue Trolls clash through June 12th to the 16th where 2IC infiltrates the Rogue Trolls and effectively destroys them. "Bieber or Die" hijacked on the same day; 1IC, 2IC, and Oak admin. Activity on the page was lax until the 21st, the day of the great Trollocaust--where a series of banwaves were made against troll and pony-roleplay accounts. Two notable events occurring within this period was Ronny admining Inspa, which became a rival page to [=BoD=], and Drake's Savannah alias is born. The day after the Trollocaust, Drake resigns from [=BoD=] and the whole Facebook thing, leading Austin as his heir apparent. 1IC ignores his apprentice 2IC and admins Josh instead. The period between the 23rd to the 28th is currently blank. Drake returns on the 29th as Scoota Love Loo. At the turn of the new month, he adopts his RNK alias and the hijacking suddenly experiences a renaissance. Austin and Agent Orange hijack a TON of pages, the most notable being a 190k page. Josh and Drake admin a 25k page together late in the month. Somewhere along the line, Trollvorlord and Drake meet and start to develop their kinship.

But this was not the true end, a number of the old members came back and formed another group known as the "community". They trolled and taunted and gained the [[http://www.facebook.com/ShawtyyManee Shawty Mane]]. and [[http://www.facebook.com/Christiansgotswagguh Christian Beadles]]. fan pages—where Troll King and Trollvorlord both ruled. After some time, Sagan was able to snatch the iconic Bronyism fanpage and, with the help of Drake and Trollvorlord, turned everything backwards.

[[folder:Bronyism Era (Hijackers' Reign)]]
This hi-jacking was orchestrated by user known as Sagan, whom had later given the page to two other well known anti-brony trolls: These two known as Drake, a [[DeadpanSnarker snarky]] deisitic-Christian; and Trollvorlord, a poetic DepravedHomosexual. Along the way came "[=FemAdmin=]", an avid CamWhore who was very rarely seen admining. They were not alone in these acts, as it turns out the two were members of groups of hijacker trolls known as the "community". Despite popular belief, Drake had not actually known Trollvorlord in RealLife.

Since the hijacking of Bronyism, the three have legitimately discussed various media topics—such as the Trayvon Martin case, Wrestling/ChrisBenoit, religious and political affairs, etc.—while also simply posting random nonsense and ToiletHumor on the page. Notably among such activities, Trollvorlord had produced a "[[TakeThat That awkward moment when...]]" series in which he weaved tales starting out as his [[SliceOfLife ordinary, daily life]] which [[GenreShift abruptly shifts]] to absurdity and chaotic, [[NauseaFuel visceral concepts]]. Drake, on the other hand, was known for flirting with Cynical Asshole, feuding with [=FemAdmin=], and posting bad music. Additionally, a number of posts by both consisted mainly of {{satire}}/obscure {{meme}}s and cynicism towards the community. All the while, the trolls had gained a many supporters and followers, while they also annoyed many people—especially the bronies—for stealing the page and turning the MyLittlePony Facebook community upside-down.

Key members of this era include: The Average Brony, Cynical Asshole, Spike the Dragon, Toasty, Ryan Kipps, Hideyoshi Kinoshita, JP Scott and others.

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: Trollvorlord was actually amused by one of [[FunPersonified The Average Brony]]'s photoshops done of him, enough so to make it the page's profile picture for a short period.
** Occasionally the remaining bronies, as well; especially during the the [[AbortedArc short-running]] "Rustled my Jimmies" gag. In fact, this is the attitude of almost all remaining bronies late during the trolls' reign.
* AerithAndBob: Trollvorlord and Drake.
* AffectionateNickname: Drake has Drakey-poo and Cynical Asshole has Cydney. And even grouchy old Trollvorlord has Mr Troll.
* ArtifactTitle: {{Justified|Trope}} by the fact Facebook pages can no longer change their name after 100 likes. The blog even provides the page quote for ArtifactTitle.

** FailOSuckyname: Cynical Asshole and now [=Assface McLegs=]—a supposedly new admin of -Trollvorlord as of 7/23/12.
* BlackSpeech: Zetherian, Trollvorlord's own bizarre made-up language, is a non-lethal variation. He attempts to teach it to others, which it a tad hard due to NoPronunciationGuide, and has a habit of [[GratuitousForeignLanguage breaking out into it during conversations]]. [[TheUnintelligible Trollvorlord insists that his language does have meaning]] and that it is not just gibberish he makes up to screw with others. Sometime after the tag page migration, one fan came out and asked him for his permission to use it in a book he was writing. [[OutOfCharacter Trollvorlord happily obliged and]] [[HeartwarmingMoments offered his help in writing of the book]].
* TheChessmaster/ ManipulativeBastard: Many times, the admins have conned and fooled their followers in many way; notably, pretending to give the page back to the bronies for about a week. Drake gave the page "back" several times, but the one Trollvorlord did under the guise of "Shy" lasted for about 10 days. Whilst being a my little pony fan, he gained entry to their "network", gained their trust, was offered admin on some of their pages, then he showed himself, only to demoralize everyone.
* TheChewToy: The bronies who ''[[EpicFail fail]]'' at trying to troll back.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Trollvorlord — ''All'' ForTheEvulz.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Compared to the original state of the page.
** LighterAndSofter/ {{Reconstruction}}: After Nyx's take over; the page turned back into a hub for loyal fans of the show.
* {{Deconstruction}}: They often exaggerate and promote the common stereotypes of bronies, among other things.

* EpicFail: A couple of bronies came together and hatched a {{plan}} to get the troll page taken down by spamming it with pony [[{{Rule34}} r34]]... Until Drake found out, screencapped it, and had them all banned.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Trollvorlord would rather let the page die than give it to The Average Brony and his friends.
* TheFaceless: {{Averted}} for Trollvorlord, PlayedStraight with the rest of the admins.

Despite photo and video proof, Hmac denied everything when he gave The Average Brony admin right of the tag page, and urges that he only made him Data Analyzer.

On March 25th, 2012, Bronyism was evidently counter-hijacked for real by another user named Nyx. Since then, Trollvorlord and Drake have moved on; the former admin to his own tag page to continue his work along with his new {{sidekick}} Hmac, while the latter retreated back to Chell ([=FiM=])[[note]](another hijacked page of his where he continued his game on a more minuscule scale for a while longer until the day he left the trolling business altogether and went back to using his regular account sometime during early May, while the page remained until its death sometime during early July)[[/note]]. [=FemAdmin=] had disappeared without a trace and Sagan returned to his regular account as well.

[[folder:New-Bronyism/Tag-page Migration (Intermediate Era)]]
Both sides have since moved on to bigger and better things since the bronies' retaking. Trollvorlord had taken "Justin Bieber was born to be M!NE.", a fan page 5-times as big as what Bronyism had originally been, while putting Hmac in charge of ''Music/OneDirection'' counter-part.

* KickTheDog: Trollvorlord sometimes bans random followers for no other reason than boredom.
* LostForever: Dozens of photos, statuses and other posts have been lost due to decay. After Facebook had some changes, the ability to hijack pages—by means of removing other admins—is a lot harder as new role have been created, particularly Content Creator.
* MediumAwareness/ MetaFiction: "So yeah, here's [[TvTropes a wiki]] about Drake and I. I'm having a lot of fun."
** Trollvorlord actually takes great pride in this page—despite his mostly apathetic composure—and often references it on his tag page. Nyx, on the other hand, finds the Bronyism wiki to actually be kinda funny.
* PetTheDog: A fan came to Trollorlord asked if he could use his made-up language in a book he was writing. Trollvorlord accepted and offered his help in return. Nyx also featured Trollvorlord and his tag page on new Bronyism because he was an important part of the page's history.
* [[PromotedFanboy Promoted Fanboy/girl]]: Anna Zo, who draws {{Fan Art}} for the tag page and Harrison Chambers—the book-writing fan. In addition, Hmac was originally just another "Mortal" on Bronyism until Trollvorlord gave him adminship of his tag page.

* RunningGag: Ryan Kipps—TAB's buddy—giving himself long and obscure middle names.

[[folder:"Death to BloodOnTheDanceFloor" Era]]
Sometime after the death of "Justin Bieber was born to be M!NE." and the resurrected Christian Beadles pages, Sagan, Drake, Trollvorlord gained "Blood on the dance floor: The worst thing to ever happen to humanity", their biggest non-Justin Bieber page. Here, another great campaign began, one which Drake claims to be up to par with Bronyism, where they took on the Blood on the Dance Floor {{Hatedom}}--a surprising twist where the hijackers play the good guys. As usual, Drake ranted about liberals and mock everything he doesn't like, particularly [[Music/HeavyMetal metal]]. The Neo-BHTC was reformed on January 12.

Since the hijacking of Bronyism, the three have legitimately discussed various media topics—such as the Trayvon Martin case, Wrestling/ChrisBenoit, religious and political affairs, etc.—while also simply posting random nonsense and ToiletHumor on the page. Notably among such activities, Trollvorlord had produced a "[[TakeThat That awkward moment when...]]" series in which he weaved tales starting out as his [[SliceOfLife ordinary, daily life]] which [[GenreShift abruptly shifts]] to [[NightmareFuel absurdity and chaotic]], [[NauseaFuel visceral concepts]]. What was originally a normal ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' {{Facebook}} fan-page, moreover the most popular of fan-pages at nearly 10,000 "likes", became both a WretchedHive and chaotic haven for lulz for many after a swift hijacking on December 14, 2011.[[note]](The page itself can be found [[http://www.facebook.com/nyx.BRONYISM here]])[[/note]]

Now that's the e[[IncrediblyLamePun pony]]mous brony fan-page hijacking in a nutshell. "Bronyism" is also TvTropes' collective title for the entire series of page hijackings and other antics by a mischievous group known on {{this wiki}} as the [[FanNickname Hijacker Trolls]]—and to themselves, the "community". What was originally a couple of practical jokes on some Music/JustinBieber fans soon escalated into a growing trolling overly-fanatic fanboys and girls.

The longest part of the saga, which ''Bronyism'' purists believe to be the true story, started back in late March '11. Current knowledge of the events, as told by Drake, are as following; Drake made his first fake account, Jesse [=McDonald=], which was soon deleted. Two months later, he made "Umad Brah" and went to "I Hate Justin Bieber" page to quickly stir up trouble and basically made a name for himself overnight. He soon met George Banningham on IHJB who tells him that he's gotten admin on a Justin Bieber page. They talk over and he admins him and they start their first hijacking spree. On June 8, a nobody would soon forget, they acquired BHL. Drake adopts "2IC" as his title while George takes 1IC. Monotone is added as admin a day later and Oak two days after him. Around midnight of his arrival, Oak deadmins everyone but himself on BHL. Denizens of page split between BHTC (2IC, 1IC, Abdolf, Oak, Tepig the Oshawatt, Hank, and Ronny) and the Rogue Trolls that oppose Oak (Noah (Troll King), Trollchic, Farnsworth, Bagel, a couple others). BHTC and Rogue Trolls clash through June 12th to the 16th where 2IC infiltrates the Rogue Trolls and effectively destroys them. "Bieber or Die" hijacked on the same day; 1IC, 2IC, and Oak admin. Activity on the page was lax until the 21st, the day of the great Trollocaust--where a series of banwaves were made against troll and pony-roleplay accounts. Two notable events occurring within this period was Ronny admining Inspa, which became a rival page to [=BoD=], and Drake's Savannah alias is born. The day after the Trollocaust, Drake resigns from [=BoD=] and the whole Facebook thing, leading Austin as his heir apparent. 1IC ignores his apprentice 2IC and admins Josh instead. The period between the 23rd to the 28th is currently blank. Drake returns on the 29th as Scoota Love Loo. At the turn of the new month, he adopts his RNK alias and the hijacking suddenly experiences a renaissance. Austin and Agent Orange hijack a TON of pages, the most notable being a 190k page. Josh and Drake admin a 25k page together late in the month. Somewhere along the line, Trollvorlord and Drake meet and start to develop their kinship.

The story itself is built on Kayfabe[[note]]with the concept that the hijackers and others are not just about them misbehaving on the internet but are living out an epic tale[[/note]] and set in different eras. The [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic bronies]], [[Music/JustinBieber the belibers]], [[Music/OneDirection directioners]], etc. fought back most of the time and played the part the trolls couldn't do without: The good guys. Both the beliebers and directions each often leave after their part in the StoryArc is over, but many bronies continue on the Hijacker Trolls' tale.
