- Nanny helping the Willoughbys scare off potential buyers. The fact that she put this all together in one night is pretty impressive. Though it does border on Nightmare Fuel.
- Nanny and Melanoff rescuing Ruth from being killed in the candy factory.
- The Barnabys building a dirigible in record-breaking time out of candy.
- Any time the Cat insults the parents. The Willoughby children didn't even know it but there was someone on their side the whole time.
- Mr. and Mrs. Willoughby FINALLY getting their karma when, after the dirigible that they stole from their children, leaving them to freeze to death, crashes into the ocean, they get attacked and apparently eaten by a shark. The best bit? It's the final scene that's shown before it cuts to the end credits.
- The Cat being the one that convinces Nanny to come back for the kids.
- A subtle example, but the parents are never given any tragic backstory or moment of sympathy, and no one tells the kids that they need to accept their family the way it is. As hard as it may be to admit, no one is obligated to forgive their abusers, not even blood relatives, and everyone deserves a loving home they can choose.
