Awesome / The Mindy Project

Go To

  • Mindy gets an early good line when insisting on meeting a patient's boyfriend before providing birth control. Said boyfriend is The Slacker who plans to do what Harvard dropout Mark Zuckerberg did: design a revolutionary app and make millions.
Mindy: But Mark Zuckerberg had to get accepted into Harvard first!
  • Mindy's speech near the end of "Two to One" to get all the patients back from the midwife practice upstairs.
  • Morgan gets The National to play for Danny when he misses their set at the musical festival — by faking a marriage proposal, but still, a pretty cool achievement.
  • Mindy lays down the law to Danny during The Girl Next Door, after an entire episode of Danny being kind of a jealous jerk, Mindy makes it clear that after dumping her, he can't just decide to want her back because there's a new guy in the picture.
  • When the (married) guy Mindy hooks up with in Think Like a Peter turns out to be married and proceeds to insult her, Peter reacts by punching him in the face.
  • Annette Castellano's scathing speech to Danny and Alan in Dinner at the Castellanos.
Annette: Everybody, shut up! All I wanted as a nice, classy dinner to show off that I finally have things pretty good. But I guess I forgot that after 30 years, garbage still stinks.
    Dot: That garbage is you.
    Danny: Uh oh
(Annette starts taking off her earrings and wig)
Annette: You miserable S.O.B. You left your son to raise your other son and now you're making him raise your daughter too!
Danny: Ma! Relax, it's the best thing for the family.
Annette: I haven't even got to you yet. Do you have Stockholm Syndrome? You just love raising your brothers and your sisters. And now you kicked your girlfriend and unborn child out of the house?
Danny: What? What are you talking about?
Annette: You don't know? Castellano men, shoot first, ask questions never. She's pregnant
(Danny looks shocked and races off to her apartment)
    • Her friend Dot's barbs at Alan for leaving Annette and for calling her boyfriend, Robert, less than a man.
  • Danny finally owning the fact that he made Mindy lie about being Catholic and that they are expecting a baby, to his priest. And he actually hasn't felt happier about this before in his life.
    • Mindy telling off the priest for Slut-Shaming her and Danny. She tells him that Danny is a good Catholic and more or less tells the priest to just chill.
  • Tamra's cousin telling Danny off for not being sensitive to Mindy about her pregnancy weight gain.
    • Mindy telling off and picking on Jessica for trying to dump Morgan just because he's gained weight and then tells her that Morgan is "beautiful and strong".
  • Danny's impromptu flight to India, to introduce himself to Mindy's parents.
    • Peter and Jeremy's Best Man and Groom dance at his wedding is a sight to behold.
    • Mindy telling off Danny for being so hesitant in their relationship and for not meeting her in Boston to introduce him and their coming child to her parents. She pointing out that she's been letting him ingratiate her into his family and church because it's important to him and she loves him.
  • Jeremy has been dealing with a rut where he had gained and lost weight, struggled with his childhood memories, his friends moving on to better things, and Peter marrying his ex-girlfriend. But he ends up standing up to a bitchy neighbor (who wrecks his Singles PJ party), than he gets laid with her, did a one-man show, and to top it all off he and Peter perform an intense and awesome dance at Peter's wedding as his Best Man. The whole third season should just be called How Jeremy Got His Groove Back.
  • Mindy recovering her dignity in Josh and Mindy's Christmas party. After being utterly humiliated by the fact that her boyfriend had a long term girlfriend (making Mindy the other woman) and being confronted with this in front of all her coworkers, Mindy was able to pull it together in record time.
  • Fox may have cancelled the sitcom, but Hulu has picked it up for a 26-episode season!
