• Princess Toadstool is made of CMOA! From the moment Bowser invades her kingdom, she's furious, screams "put up your dukes!" at him right to his face, and when he retreats down the warp pipe she jumps off her balcony (counting on her Toads to catch her, which they do) and chases after him with a small force of guards. While the other Toads are exhausted in the desert, Toadstool refuses to slow down and insists on going on. While they're caught by an ambush, Toadstool escapes from the Koopalings by herself by tricking them into opening her cell, locking most of them inside it, stops Wendy O by threatening to shred her favorite dress, and then uses a cape feather to fly out of the tower. But she's not done — Mario has gotten himself kidnapped now, so Toadstool and Luigi hatch a scheme to free him that culminates with Toadstool disguising herself as Luigi to be smuggled into the tower with a box full of bombs and blow it up. And when Wendy O points out that to blow up the tower would probably kill all the heroes, too, Toadstool happily replies that destroying the Koopalings in a Heroic Sacrifice would be worth it. It's rather telling that in the final issues, Bowser has to have Magikoopa hypnotize her into submission at last.
• Luigi disguising himself as Princess Toadstool, and effortlessly pulling it off (sans the surgical mask to cover his mustache).
• Luigi and Yoshi crash Bowser's wedding with an army of Yoshis at their command, saving Mario and the Princess at the same time.
