• Tank catches several Pokémon in the first chapter alone.
• In Chapter 21, Benedict, before he transitions to Holly, faces Dobie, one of the main villains and leader of Team Cottage. At one point, he corners him with a Magikarp, namely his trusted Asuka.
• In Chapter 24, Kidd, despite starting with the least ambitions out of the three heroes, wins his first contest. In Chapter 39, through a tie for the first place, his victories become three.
• Holly against Dobie in Chapter 46, where they have a physical fight. Holly ambushes him and taunts him, but he does not hold back against her. Nevertheless, she still manages to land a decisive blow before Judy saves her.
• In Chapter 48, Amelia does the first form of damage to Don, taking revenge for his cheating ways and evil in general. She burns her wedding ring and stands up to him this way.
