• Nishi was able to grab a gun by the barrel with his ass after having just died from said gun. Talk about being a Combat Pragmatist!
• One of the very last sequences in the film involves Nishi and the others booking it out of the mouth of a gigantic dying whale. It begins with them rowing a motorboat as hard as they can, and when that fails, they literally sprint on top of a giant tsunami wave, coming to grips with shortcomings in their past that almost cost them their lives, all the while dodging an ocean liner, a train, a tank, a 747, a stories-high skyscraper, 'and' a fireball explosion on the way out. It's a really visceral and primal viewing experience, to say the least.
