• In a scene which alone justifies the existence of the American version, Sam—newly arrived in 1973—looks out onto the New York skyline and sees the Twin Towers still standing as David Bowie's "Life on Mars" plays in the background. For obvious reasons, this also qualifies as a Tear Jerker.
