As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

  • Hermione managing to single-handedly avert an apocalyptic future and save the lives of her friends by way of the Time Turner.
  • Harry using the Time Turner himself to thwart Peter Pettigrew's schemes and save the lives of Remus, Regulus, and Marcus.
  • Harry managing to successfully dilate out to seven thought streams and master a wandless spell... while falling to his death and being chased by werewolves.
  • Theo managing to defeat his father once and for all and avenging his mother's murder...by way of a well timed blowjob joke.
  • Dobby and Mogli laying waste to a small pocket universe while battling for the lives of all the students on the Hogwarts express.
  • Harry, Neville, and Theo managing to KILL a dementor.
Harry: I may never have had a father worth a damn, but I have brothers! AND I WILL NEVER LET YOU TOUCH THEM! EXPECTO PATRONUM!
  • Harry seeing through Quirrell's schemes pretty much instantaneously.
  • Jim slaying the basilisk.
  • Fred and George weaponizing their Canary Creams to help kill Death Eaters when they are attacked after the Quidditch World Cup.
  • Ron using the Samasara healing spell successfully to save Parvati, Ted Tonks, and Charlie despite knowing there is a good chance that the spell will kill him if he overuses it.
  • Harry's ascension to becoming Prince of Slytherin seeing as his own attempts to turn down the position to avert a world ending prophecy, ironically, are the very actions that prove his worthiness to the Hydra Throne, which had been having second thoughts up to that point.
  • The realization that all of "Lockhart's" odd projects (which he has been having the students work on throughout the year) are actually all part of an elaborate plan for Regulus to find a way to circumvent Azkaban's supposedly unbeatable security measures and break his brother out. The awesome part is that this plan, which heavily relied on the ingenuity of several groups of teenagers (albeit bright ones), is actually completely successful and the break out goes off almost without a hitch.
  • Anthony Goldestein, Sue Li and Kevin Entwhistle defending Theo from the "Pureblood welcoming committee".
  • DOLORES UMBRIDGE, of all people, figuring out a creative way of stopping Peter Pettigrew's swarm of magically replicating man-eating rats.
  • Theo Nott destroying one of the stone gargoyles that his father had sent to kill him by summoning the Knight Bus on top of it.
  • Chapter 60 and the Second Year Gryffindor-Slytherin quidditch game, culminating in Draco finding his inner Gryffindor with his Suicide Slam maneuver.
