Awesome / Crash: Mind Over Mutant

Go To

  • After several titles of being kicked around by Uka Uka and being a laughing stock to both enemies and allies, Cortex reaffirms himself quite swiftly as Big Bad once more, not only fooling most of the population into sampling his new brainwashing helmets, but disciplining his treacherous niece by kicking her into Evil Public School and overthrowing and torturing his Bad Boss. When laughed at by Crash and Aku Aku in their final confrontation, he reveals his own stash of N. Brio's mutagen that quickly wipes the smirks off their faces. Even after being defeated, he gets away just as resilient as ever.
    • In the Nintendo DS version, he sics The Chimera at Crash and Aku Aku, a fusion of various Titans that wouldn't look too out of place in a JRPG, leading to an unusually epic boss fight by Crash standards.
  • For the Wii and Xbox 360 versions at least, this is the first game Coco abolishes her Joke Character status, she can play the entire game (as well as co-op with her brother) and her move set is on the same level as Crash.
    • Even in her non-playable PS2 role, she hacks into Cortex's network to instantly find out his scheme. And she was being literal when she said to "just give her a sec" to do it.
  • A subtle one, but Coco's boss battle involves a more strategic method than most of the other bosses in the two Titans games, and using Coco's attacks against her. Sure she's not exactly herself at this point, but Crash outsmarted his genius sister.
  • This game is probably the angriest we ever see Crash. After N.Gin tries to surprise ambush the bandicoots, Crash and Aku decimate his forces. Afterwards N.Gin tries to brush them off, in reply Crash growls furiously and Aku cold bloodily tells him hit the road.
