For awesome moments of the original manga and anime, see here.

  • Ryo shooting a loose RPG rocket in mid-air with his Colt Python while it's headed towards the famous Godzilla head on a building of Shinjuku, saving it.
    • Then he stops the pursuing car that launched it with an incredibly well aimed shot, causing it to crash and burn, and stands in front of it in a "cool guys don't look at explosions" way and sheathes his gun. There's a reason that moment is framed: Ryo Saeba's back, baby!
  • Ryo's Big Damn Heroes towards the beginning, opening a can of whoopass on the thugs who are after Ai. And doing so effortlessly with only his legs, keeping his hands in his pockets, no less. Even if it quickly veers into Ryo's usual Chivalrous Pervert antics and Kaori showing up with a hammer, it's one hell of a reintroduction of him after twenty years with no City Hunter in animation.
    • Later Ryo is out with Ai and goes from hitting on various women to scaring away the same thugs just by asking them if they remember him without missing a beat.
  • Ryo taking care of the killers who have come at the apartment, blasting their guns out of their hands and whooping their asses left and right.
Ryo: You don't seem to realize... You picked a fight with a pro.
  • The Kisugi Sisters are back! They're not in the film for long, but they make a hell of an action comeback when helping Kaori get into Mikuni's building, with Hitomi and Rui gloriously dispatching the guards with kicks.
Rui: (after kicking a guard in the face) Sorry to get rough. I'm still mad about my café getting wrecked.
    • Also, the fact they terrify the likes of Umibozu and Miki. Even Kaori is a bit scared once the two mercs explain her who the three women actually are...
  • In the climax:
    • Ryo demolishing flying attack drones left and right with his lever action shotgun, reloading it Terminator 2-style.
    • Miki grabbing a Grenade Launcher and coming to help Umibozu against the ground drones.
    • Ryo keeps dodging the shots of the Steel Reaper, sending one rocket to hit Mikuni's building just to screw with him, then destroys it by shooting one of its missiles with his Colt Python just right after it's been launched, causing the rock tunnel to collapse on the drone for good measure.
    • Props to the drone designers, as they made them capable of adapting and even anticipated some of the tactics that could have been used against them:
      • After Ryo has shot down a few of the flying drones by hitting their rotors, they start reacting to him shooting by moving just a bit, enough that the rotors are protected by their armored mount. This of course leads to Ryo taking out his Colt Python and ricocheting his bullets off the drones to hit the rotors of the next ones, but they actually managed to give him trouble with that trick.
      • At the start of his fight with the ground drones, Umibozu fires a Javelin between them and topples them. Umibozu starts laughing, sure to have neutralized them... Then the drones invert their legs, lift from the ground, and rotate the main body back in position. Umibozu later blows up a bridge under the walking drones, but it turns out the designers had anticipated that too and protected their electronics, forcing Umibozu to run... To the places he had hidden other Javelins in case his tricks didn't work.
    • Ryo, Umibozu, and Miki barging into Mikuni's building and cutting through the guards. Who are well-trained, armed with assault rifles, and protected with bulletproof vests... But are still powerless against Ryo shooting them in the unprotected shoulders with a .357 Magnum, Umibozu's MAG machine gun with armor-piercing rounds that also go through whatever cover they pick and even the floor of a balcony, and Miki flat-out firing grenades at them.
    • After Umibozu and Miki have finished off the guards, their boss shows up and challenges Umibozu to a hand-to-hand fight... And takes a few of his wall-shattering strikes. They even barge through a few walls before Umibozu gains the upper hand.
    • After being ran out of his own building, Mikuni is confronted by Kaori, who tries to get him to stand down. Mikuni decides instead to shoot her, so Kaori closes her eyes and moves her head to the right... Revealing Ryo had arrived while they talked and giving him a clean shot. Ryo proceeds to shoot inside Mikuni's gun, destroying it.
    • While Ryo, Umibozu, Miki and Kaori were busy with Mikuni and his guards, the other six gun merchants escaped to their helicopters on the roof. Next we see them, they've been beaten unconscious by the Kisugi Sisters, who don't have a scratch on them nor show any fatigue.
