A battle so epic that Arbitrary Headcount Limit be damned!

  • The Chancellor in "The Trial" for pulling off a performance worthy of a Disney villain. His performance alone makes it very difficult to believe that Crono is ultimately found innocent.
  • "Frog's Theme Reprise" showcasing Glenn and Cyrus's backstory, the lyrics for Frog's theme being inherited from Cyrus's initial advice, and the excellent recreation of the scene wherein Frog slices the mountain in half.
  • "The Battle Against Magus" faithfully recreates the awesomeness of the battle in the original game with Magus absolutely stealing the show by delivering Badass Boast after Badass Boast while Frog keeps his spirits up by repeating his Code of Honor.
  • "Tyranno Rebellion" was the first individual song released at the end of a nearly 2-year hiatus of the project, and Kino rallying the humans to fight the Reptites while Ayla heads for Azala smashes it out of the park for a glorious return.
Kino: You think we dogs! Now see the dogs of war!
  • Ayla gives Dalton a very solid Groin Attack. This even got its own video just for people to enjoy the catharsis! And judging by the art, she is utterly terrifying him.
  • Crono's revival on "Death Peak" is He's Back! done in musical form courtesy of a swelling rendition of the "Chrono Trigger" theme done by the London Philharmonic Orchestra!
  • Magus is just having a great time in "Ozzie's Fort", being a total boss. This is accompanied by fantastic art, and you can tell he and the rest of the party have become Fire-Forged Friends as they race out of the castle carrying the Rainbow Shell and what appears to be Cyrus' cape as Magus prepares a Dark Matter spell to obliterate any further resistance as they depart.
  • Ayla may not be intelligent enough to understand things like robots or time travel, but she totally gets the falsity and blind arrogance of Queen Zeal, stating "You just thief!" And then she takes out the Mammon Machine with one last blow.
  • An even bigger one for Magus is the last song of "Black Omen": after the depressing Dark Reprise that was "Battle with Magus - Reprise", here, the former Fiendlord is back from the brink, stating his resolve about killing Lavos, no matter what he has to go through:
Magus: Yet here I stand despite you
    My revenge I shall claim
    By my own hand
I swear that this shall be your god's last day!
  • One piece of art in "Lavos Beckons" depicts Magus standing atop an Air Guardia airplane, fighting a Lavos copy of himself. It's powerful.
    • Earlier in the song, the reserve team sees the active team being defeated, so they decide to jump in and lend a hand, despite the limitations on only three people traveling through time at a time without it destabilizing. Magus sums it up best:
  • The entirety of "World Revolution". The heroes of past, present and future— all seven of them at once in this version of Chrono Trigger— have entered Lavos' shell and prepare to end the monster once and for all.
    • Here, all the heroes get a line before fighting Lavos, even Crono:
      Marle: This must be Lavos!
Lucca: This is the real thing!?
Robo: Amazing. It possesses the DNA of every organism that has ever dwelt on this planet.
Crono: Come on! We've come this far, don't back down now!
      Ayla: Ha! Ayla no lose!
Frog: Cyrus, stand with me in this battle!
Magus: At last… you meet your end, Lavos!
    • Even if Lavos continues insisting in his eldritch alien voice that the heroes' efforts are futile, his manner of speech is different to how it was before. It's less booming and all-powerful, and much faster and more frantic than in previous videos. He drops the Royal "We" when he caps off the first verse with "This planet always has been mine", and refers to the cast as "you" instead of the distant, dominating "they" from the previous fight, having to finally acknowledge them since these "cattle" already busted through his shell. There's only one conclusion to come to here… Lavos is actually considering the possibility that he might lose to puny Crono and friends, and even if he doesn't know it yet, it's getting him scared!
    • One when you consider the title of the song: the fate of the world itself has been revolving around Lavos long before the cataclysm of 1999 AD— the Reptites' extinction, the long Ice Age, the rise and fall of the Kingdom of Zeal, the fiendlord Magus and all his life's work, the evolution of the planet's organisms— the world's very life and death has all been at Lavos' whim for eons. The heroes' valor and response that "the world keeps turning on, it will turn long after we're gone" is probably nothing less than a giant middle finger to Lavos and the grip he has on fate, because now the world's had enough of the disgusting space parasite's grubby hands and decided it's time to revolve back.
  • "Last Battle" is Lavos's Villainous Breakdown in song: after the heroes make their "No More Holding Back" Speech, he has a fully-voiced version of his screech and starts singing at an even faster speed than before, completely dropping the Royal "We" from before. The once untouchable Lavos is now absolutely pissed that these "cattle" think they have the right to determine a different fate from the one he designed for this planet, but too bad for him— they will anyways!
    • To clarify, the screech Lavos makes at the start of the battle isn't portrayed as "this is the sound of an infallible alien monster" like it usually is. This is a screech of pure frustration as if to say "I am done dealing with you cattle!" Props to everyone involved with the project: they actually managed to turn one of gaming's most infamous Hell Is That Noise examples into a shining moment of catharsis. One YouTube comment sums it up perfectly:
"First time you hear Lavos's shriek, it's soul-crushingly terrifying. When you hear it here... you can just hear how absolutely goddamn DONE with all of your shit Lavos is. And it. Is. BEAUTIFUL."
    • The battle is a straight-up all-out brawl, with Lavos rushing Crono right off the start, stopped by Ayla slamming him with a thrown club, and then Frog slicing off one of his arms. This is followed with a shoulder tackle from Robo, and then an ice/fire combo from Marle and Lucca, which turns into a triple attack with Magus performing a Diagonal Cut on Lavos.
    • Cherry on top: the one to land the finishing blow on Lavos? Crono himself. Subtle but nevertheless perfect payback for what happened at the Ocean Palace.
