- Myra and Jaime's escape from Dragonstone, which leads up to them jumping off a high cliff into the waters, in order to escape.
- Syrena stepping in to allow Sansa to run from Sandor Clegane, engaging him with a knife no less, slashing at him into a defensive posture and preventing him from drawing his sword.
- And just when he gets the upper hand on Syrena, grasping her and slamming her into the wall, Sansa actually grabs a clay pot and uses all her strength to smash it against his head, which takes him by surprise!
- Even though there's no sense of victory on Myra's part afterwards (for she is still dealing with the trauma of the Red Wedding), it's still quite fitting to see Lame Lothar Frey and Black Walder Rivers both suffer Karmic deaths. Lame Lothar Frey, who stabbed Talisa and killed both her and her unborn child, was stabbed in the gut multiple times by Myra, who utters "a present for the queen" as she does so. Then, Black Walder Rivers, who slit Catelyn's throat, has his own throat slit by Brienne at Myra's behest, saying something he had mockingly whispered to her in a previous chapter:"It won't be so bad. Just close your eyes and pretend she's the Kingslayer".
- While in Dorne, Brienne of Tarth spars with Prince Oberyn, who is wielding a spear.
- Prince Oberyn winning against the Mountain in the trial by combat.
