  • When Chris passes his A-levels.
  • Christopher traveling to his mother's house. There are teenagers without ASD that couldn't do as much.
  • Christopher's father buying him a new pet near the end of the story, and Christopher's mother for kicking out the man she is currently with, also near the end, both in their own ways making up for the wrongs that they caused Christopher. Also qualify as heartwarming.
  • Some aspects of the stage play:
    • When Christopher quotes somebody, that character often appears and repeats the line.
Christopher: The headmistress said she couldn't allow me to take my exam by myself, it would set a precedent.
Headmistress (appearing): I couldn't allow that, it would set a precedent.
    • When Christopher describes the letters from his mother, he is idly building models of Swindon and London, with a railway line joining them. When he decides to travel to London, the train lights up and moves towards London.
    • When Christopher describes the overwhelming sights and sounds of Paddington Station, these are projected all over the stage; finally finishing with one which says "information".
    • When Christopher plays Tetris, he mimes this by moving imaginary pieces around with his hands.
    • A few seconds after curtain call, Christopher returns to the stage and presents with Maths Appendix, complete with all the pizzazz of wearing a headset, using lasers, and ending with confetti.
