Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine is the 26th Detective Conan Theatrical Film in the franchise. It was directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, written by Takeharu Sakurai, produced by Shūhō Kondō, Takeshi Shioguchi, and Yūhei Okada, and scored by Yugo Kanno. It was released in April 14, 2023.

Black Iron Submarine provides examples of:
- Action Prologue: The film begins with a woman, later shown to be Europol Agent Nina Balmer, being pursued by Gin, Vodka, and Kir on the streets of Frankfurt, ultimately ending with Gin shooting her in the head.
- Antagonist Title: The titular Black Organization's submarine they used in the movie.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: Naomi's friendship with Shiho started when Shiho protected her from bullies who were picking on her due to her mixed heritage back when the both of them were in elementary school in America. It is one of the main reasons why she develops the All-Ages Identification program, she wanted to meet Shiho again.
- Vermouth helps protecting Haibara by introducing an apparent flaw in the All-Ages Identification program by disguising herself as different people ressembling Shiho/Sherry and willingly allows herself to be caught on cameras. This causes the Organization to qualify the All-Ages Identification program as flawed and losing interest on it. Why ? Partially because Haibara gives her the last ticket to purchase a Fusae Campbell-branded ginkgo leaf pin (which she have in the epilogue of the movie) and also acting on Ano kata's orders.
- Big Bad Duumvirate: The Black Organization is once again the main villain of the film, with two operations being done at the same time; Gin is once again pursuing Haibara after the All-Ages Identification program appears to identify her as Sherry, while the Canon Foreigner agent Pinga infiltrates the Pacific Buoy to effect their schemes, such as kidnapping the programmer Naomi Argento.
- Big Bad Ensemble: Ultimately, Ano kata and Rum have opposite motives about the All-Ages Identification program. Rum wanted it for himself to track his boss, while Vermouth and Ano kata (convinced by her) wanted it destroyed, Vermouth refering it to "a Pandora's box that should not be opened". She presented a false flaw of the program on Ano kata's orders which ultimately pushes Rum to destroy it.
- Chekhov's Gunman: During the prologue of the movie, Haibara kindly gives the last ticket to purchase a limited edition Fusae Campbell-branded ginkgo leaf pin to an old woman. This woman is a disguised Vermouth, which ultimately helps Haibara to continue hiding her identity to her colleagues (with the approuval of Ano kata).
- Continuity Nod: Most of the deceased Organisation's members are mentionned: Pisco but most notably Irish and Curaçao.
- Enigmatic Minion: Vermouth is still this. She helps Conan and Haibara but protecting the latter's identity by presenting a flaw in the All-Ages Identification program (flaw entirely fabricated by her). Interestingly, she acts on the Big Bad Ano kata's orders to undermine Number Two Rum.
- The Mole: Kir and Bourbon as always. The former indirectly helping Haibara and Naomi escape the Organization's submarine without raising suspicion on herself. And the latter continuing providing informations to Conan and his superior Kuroda.
- Sequel Hook: A card - the Ace of Hearts - flies into the screen overlooking a city nightscape as two men start arguing. Then the card is cut in half...Heiji: I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, KID!Kaito Kid: Huh? Why? Is this about the kiss?
- Sinister Surveillance: The Pacific Buoy, an Interpol facility, hosts servers to connect to every surveillance camera in Japan as a testing ground, with the intent to eventually have it be applied worldwide. In addition to that, it also has an 'All-Age Recognition' system built in, which uses automated Digital De-Aging to identify a person across all walks of life. Naturally, the Black Organization seeks to covet it for their nefarious ends.
