Adit & Sopo Jarwo (often referred to without the ampersand) is an Indonesian animated series that premiered in 2014. Set in Karet Berkah Suburb in Jakarta, the series follow the daily lives of a young boy Adit, an adult trying to make a living Jarwo, and Jarwo's slow-minded partner Sopo. It also often features Adit's cowardly friend Dennis and Adit's baby sister Adel.

Adit & Sopo Jarwo contains examples of:

  • Aesop Amnesia: No matter how many times Haji Udin lectures Jarwo to be responsible or to not take jobs he can't do, Jarwo will take the opportunity to get money without thinking it through in the next episode.
Haji Udin: Once again I remind you, Wo...
  • Birthday Episode: "Kejutan Buat Jarwo"note  is about Adit and friends preparing a surprise for Jarwo's birthday.
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • In the early season, Sopo likes to ask "Right now?" anytime being ordered as he is a bit slow on the uptake. Sopo's more consistent catchphrase is "Be forbearing, Boss", said anytime Jarwo's story ends not in his favor which is a lot.
    • Ucup likes to argue anything with a long chain of "if [this], then [that]" before capping it off with "If you don't believe me, just ask Pak Haji."
  • Identical Twin Mistake: "Saudara Berkunjung Semua Tersanjung" has Jarwis, Jarwo's much nicer twin, comes to the suburb, confusing every who meet him.
  • Loser Buys Lunch: In episode 5, as a punishment for accidentally ruining Jarwo's food, Jarwo challenges Adit to a football match where the loser must buy the winner Kang Ujang's meatballs. After some blatant cheating, Jarwo wins. Conveniently, today turns out to be Kang Ujang's birthday so the meatballs are free and Adit doesn't have to pay anything.
  • The Movie: Adit Sopo Jarwo the Movie, released in 2021, which is basically an extended origin episode for how Adit, Sopo, and Jarwo met.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Kang Ujang's dialogue usually rhymes.
  • Say My Name: In the very intro.
Dennis: Adit, Bang Jarwo is getting near!
    Jarwo: ADIT!
  • Special Guest: The show sometime gets famous people to portray themselves, usually with the addition of being related to the main character.
    • Indonesian girlband Cherrybelle comes to the suburb because one of their members is Nita's sister.
    • The third president of Indonesia, B.J. Habibie, becomes a guest portraying himself, except he's also Dennis's grandpa.
    • Indonesian singer Armand Maulana guest stars and turns out to be a friend of Kang Ujang.
  • Unnamed Parent: Adit's mom and dad are referred to as "(Adit's) Mom" and "(Adit's) Dad" by pretty much everyone, even in public events.
  • Work Off the Debt: Jarwo and Sopo have a lot of debt to Kang Ujang's meatball shop, and since they don't have the money, they (well, mostly Sopo) regularly cleans Kang Ujang's dishes to pay for it.
