Six years later, the finale opens in the Fire Nation. Kuzon and Lilly are playing, with the former a double case of Dead Guy Junior, being named after Aang's dead friend and his dead older brother.

One of Aang and Toph's kids (I didn't see any indication of this kid's name or gender in the entire epilogue) comes up, talking about how the other one, named Poe, is hanging off a tree branch and trying to pick fire berries with a stick, while the kids on the ground are concerned about what Toph will think if she finds out.

Poe struggles to grab the berries, but he's running out of time; with the sun about to set, their parents are looking for them. Then Sokka and Azula arrive with their daughter Miracle, and the boys greet their aunt and uncle (honorary in the case of Poe and his sibling).

Take a look at Azula on this page. Her hair is white and she's taken to wearing Water Tribe clothing. Does she look familiar?

Perhaps this could be dismissed as a coincidence if the character she looked like wasn't the first girl Sokka loved, making us wonder what the reason for this similarity is, apart from it possibly being a side effect of Azula being saved with the Moon Spirit's help (although it's unclear what the Moon Spirit did). Of course, to be fair to Sokka, he was already improbably head over heels in love with Azula before her appearance changed to this, and it's never suggested that his relationship with Suki didn't work out because she wasn't very similar to Yue.

"Yuezula" asks what the kids are doing, and Poe asys they were playinghide and seek, and trying to get some fire berries. Sokka then says they'll get the berries later, but tells them to head on back. They then race back as Sokka prepares to take Miracle back.

Kuzon and Lilly greet their parents, revealing that Kuzon did well in (apparently waterbending) training and that he'll be a great Fire Lord one day, while Lilly did well firebending.

Poe and his sibling greet Aang and Toph, with Poe bragging about how he flew 20 feet (although it's unclear what direction he flew), and Aang suggesting that he'll catch up one day.

One last Wall of Text ensues, with Azula talking about how the main characters found true love and had children who will be the heroes of tomorrow. Azula says how much she has changed, how her life was saved, and how she'll raise a daughter who's important to the Water Tribe. She says anything is possible- which is true for those who, like the author, consider canon a polite suggestion- and her and her friends' children will say they lived in a time of heroes.

What I liked

  • It was somewhat amusing watching Poe hold onto the branch with one hand.

What I didn't like

  • Somewhat unnecessary scenes involving the kids.
  • Azula turning into a clone of Yue.

So ends How I Became Yours. Here's what I liked and didn't like for the comic as a whole.

What I liked

  • The art often looks hilariously badly made.
  • Lots of funny grammar mistakes, such as "Chard monster!"

What I didn't like

  • The characters being horribly OOC, although it's mitigated by my being able to see them as different people.
  • The plot essentially turning into a Lifetime Movie of the Week with fantasy cliches.
  • Some fairly questionable morals involved by the characters, primarily Zuko and Katara.
  • The Power of Love and prophecies essentially being able to do anything.

All in all, How I Became Yours is not what could be considered great or even acceptable writing. But if you don't take things personally, and are willing to have some laughs at the author's expense, it's enjoyable in its own way.

Thus concludes my liveblog for How I Became Yours. I'm considering doing a liveblog on the sequel comic, Rise of the Agni Army, but please be advised that the sequel is not finished and most likely never will be.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you again on my next liveblog.
