Watch out boy, she'll chew you up!

4/28 11 days until the next Full Moon

Tired and achy. People, this is your hero.

“Good morning.” Mistsuru said to Minako as she greeted Minako at the gate. “Have you acclimated to our school yet?”

“Yeah.”

“I see. Your ability to adapt to new situations and environments is very impressive.”

Had lots of experience on that end.

Mitsuru then alerted Minako to her potential disappearances at times as she might have things to attend to.

Huh. Yukari seems to be hanging around the class room...but Junpei did ask if I could see a movie with him during lunch...I don't often get the chance to see a movie, so...I'll go with him. Right after I check with the nurse about this tiredness.

What. The. Hell.

Mr. Edogawa, the school nurse, was crazy. That's what Minako deduced as she noticed the “concotion” he gave to her to drink for being tired.

This might work though...maybe. And as quick as she could, she swallowed the vile substance down.

“Phew, well done. Whether or not you get better is inconsequential...you survived! Cheers to your bravery...sorry to have deceived you.”

WHAT THE-

Minako had to admit that it made her feel braver though.

Popcorn, take the taste away. PLEASE. Minako felt Nekomata sharpen her understanding towards Junpei a little.

“This is it!” Junpei exclaimed. “'Double-Barreled Justice'! I've been looking foreward to this coming out.”

Well...I do have a soft spot for action flicks.

“C'mon, let's go in!”

“Ooh, are you looking forward to it too? Alright, let's get some good seats!”

The two watched the movie. Minako was impressed with the storytelling as it was better than usual than she would have expected.

A villain that is fleshed out well? You don't get that too often in a big spectacle movie.

However Junpei was less than enthused. He prefered a black and white story, not a White-and-Grey Morality tale. “It's not fun to beat up a bad guy who didn't want to be evil.”

“Well, who wants to be evil. In real life, remember that quite a lot of people are either forced into it or are misguided.”

“Well then, what about the crazy ones?”

“They are called crazy for a reason.”

“Oh, do you still have time?”

“Sure. More food?”

“More food.”

The two went to the local fast-food burger joint, Wild-Duck. Minako ordered her usual meal, a Wild Duck with Medium Fries and a Medium Drink.

If it weren't for the copious amount of French food that I got, my stomach would rebel tonight. Though with that drink...

“Oh crap. The guys at school might say some stuff if they see us together.” Junpei said. “I mean, it looks like there's a lot of guys interested in you.”

“Oh really? Huh. Never noticed.”

“Plus the famous Yuka-tan and Mitsuru-senpai live in the same dorm too. There are a lot of dudes who envy me because of that.”

“Well...it can't be helped.”

Guys after all. And heck I bet there are a lot of girls wanting to get in the dorm to be close to Akihiko-senpai.

“Well yeah. I can really understand how they feel. First off, it's a co-ed dorm and ontop of that, all the girls are cute. They just can't make themselves be nice to a guy who has things that good. But...you don't seem to be that all interested in guys.”

“Nah. Moving around a lot geared me towards not expecting to stay the next semester. Plus, I want to find someone who I can trust because of...those things.”

“Yeah. Heh. You do have a lot of stuff to worry about...and the same goes for me too...”

Huh? He seems so happy-go-lucky. Is this about his resentment towards me? Or is it something else...

“...well, forget about that stuff. Want more fries? You don't mind sharing with me right?”

“Not at all.” Minako gave her warmest smile to Junpei as she felt another Magician card fall into place.

“Welcome back. For your information,” Mitusru started. “...the internet line which was ripped apart by the Shadow will be fixed by tomorrow. If you have one in your room, you should be able to connect.”

Information on Tartot, here I come.

Junpei mentioned an MMO he liked to play called Innocent Sin Online and that he'll try again tomorrow.

Oh right! Showa day is tomorrow. Golden week is on. That means we get Monday and Tuesday off as well. Well if nothing comes up...I'll go to the bookstore. But tonight's a night I can work at the Coffee shop.

A Ganesha bank! Which is not as cool as the Jack Frost doll but if it keeps my skills up, then I am all for it.

Still don't care for the coffee, even if I'm getting it for free.

Jeez. Is this the bug everyone is so worried about? SQUISH TIME!

2500 is a nice pay for the night. All money I receive is good money. Good thing I get the bulk of mine from a certain tower.

4/29 10 days until the Full Moon

No school today. Fun that it's in the middle of the-hmm? A phone call?

“Yo, Junpei here. You got some time?”

“It's okay.”

“Hey, wanna do something today?”

Nekomata is saying yes. “Sure thing.”

“Alright! I'll be waiting downstairs then.”

Junpei and Minako went to Watsuku restaurant to eat out for lunch. A good-hearted debate over a good movie was held during it but soon, the meal was finished.

“That was great. I can't eat anymore.” Junpei said. “But man, you ate a lot too. You ordered the same stuff as me right? How in the world did all of that fit inside your thin body?”

“Practice. And I'm blessed with a fast metabolism.”

“Remember how I told you yesterday that there are guys who are interested in you? I'd bet they'd be shocked if they saw how much you can eat.”

“Meh, like I care.”

“You've got a point. Worry about stuff like that'll just ruin the good food you are eating. Also, you seem so happy when you're eating. It makes me feel good watching you.”

“Well...that's the first time I've heard that complement. Thanks.”

“Heh. No problem.”

The duo returned to an empty dorm. “Well, we probably shouldn't go to Tartarus tonight.” Junpei said.

“I was planning on turning in early anyway.”

“Okay, I'm going to hit the sack too.”

4/30 '9 days until the Full Moon

Now that feels much better! Thank you sleep!

Ohhh boy. Come on, you wouldn't believe the fascinating treasure people put into the ancient tombs! Minako found herself staying awake through Mr. Ono's speech on the Sengoku era again, only adding the fact that they should study the Kitora Tomb in Nara as a end note.

Well at least he said it's on the exam. Make a note of that.

Another phone call?

This time, it was from Theodore. Before Minako could question on how he had this number, he told her to go to the mall and find the Velvet Room there as there was an urgent matter to discuss.

Alright. I'll bite. Minako found the door in the end of a hallway drenched in blue. Inside Theo, explained that he will now give Minako requests to fufill.

Beetle Shell I can manage. I can hunt for that document as well and...he want's to visit the mall? Might as well see what this is about...

“So this is the Paulownia Mall. Indeed it is exactly as I imagined.”

Your eyes say excitement.

“Well...what did you expect?”

“I don't believe that's necessary for you to know.”

“Hmph.”

“What is that over there?” Theo pointed a finger towards the water fountian. “An aqueous duct in a place like this? The dwellers of this world must get thirsty easily.”

“I....don't think that's it.”

“Um...I-I know it's true purpose of course. Why...it's meant to wash one's hands!”

“Uh...um...”

Having a hard time proving Theo wrong. He's just like a kid.

“That's not it.”

Theo seemed at a loss for words for a moment but recollected himself saying that it was only a joke.

Right. Minako explained that it was there for decoration. “It would be a little bit boring to just have-”

“And pray tell, what is this facility over here.” Theo brought Minako to the Police Station. His eye was caught by the Wanted posters. “I see. So the concept of subjugation requests is not unknown here.”

Like I'm doing to that Beetle? “We don't kill them. We just capture them and make them...atone for their wrongdoing.”

“Capturing them alive must make these people skilled hunters! I might have to make a few requests of my own. But then again, perhaps not. I have you, my finest guest, for that.”

Minako couldn't help but feel slightly pleased at that.

“Hmm? What is that?” Theo then pulled Minako to Escapade. “This...could this be 'club' of rumor?”

“Rumor?”

“Yes. I've heard no end of it

How in the heck would he know of this?!

Theo was most disappointed to see that it was closed, slightly tearing up at this.

“Um...let's try the arcade.”

“Ar-cade? A series of arches? Hmm...alright. Let us investigate.”

Minako showed Theodore the front of the arcade. He seemed impressed by the claw game. But confused by the title of Bird Controlling game. Since he found there to be stuffed animals instead, he guessed it was a simulation to catch real cranes.

Sure. Let's go with it.

“Ah. Excuse me, I notice an aquatic pool over there.” And he lead her to another fountain. After some checking around his surroundings, he stuck his hand into the water.

“It's 8 degrees celsius.”

“You can tell?”

“Of course I can.” Theo responded sounding a bit happy about that.

After a round of games in the arcade, the two began to head back to the Velvet Room, Theo expressing a wish to come back sometime.

And for keeping Theo out of trouble, I get a new Persona. Works. Hua Po, you shall be fused sometime. And with the request of grabbing a Pine Risen from someone on the second of May, Minako headed out.

And yet I still have time for Junpei. Funny that. Nekomata once again made her felt more in line with Junpei.

I was really hoping we weren't going to the mall. But I guess this works since I didn't show Theo the cafe.

“Whoa. So this is what it's like inside this cafe.”

“Huh?”

“Oh, guys can't come into places like this with each other.”

Some would object to that.

“Where do guy friends go?”

“Um...karaoke, Wild-Duck burger, the manga cafe...”

“All places I like! Does that I'm a guy?”

“Heh. Point taken. Still this is some damn good coffee. You can tell that the guy who owns the place is really picky about his beans. He probably roasts them all differently, using special waters for each type.”

That's pretty good. And if he can complement my eating and love of it then...

“You've got good taste.”

“Heheh. I just really like coffee. That's all.”

And yet, he seems as happy as Theo and knowing water temperatures.

“Oh yeah, what did you order Minako?”

“Hot cocca.”

“Oh hot chocolate? That's a girly drink.”

And yet you still seem pleased. Maybe because it confirms I am a girl?

A little discussion on warm drinks which became winter, which became Christmas which became dates which became...

“Are there any guys you are interested in?”

You for being a friend but...I guess that isn't very much in the romantic sense.

“If you want, I'll totally help you out. It'll be fun being your cupid.”

“Alright, Mr. son-of-love-goddess, who's a good match for me?”

“Oh yeah, what about Akihiko-senpai? You know girls are totally crazy about him.”

YES.

“You better be careful that he doesn't play you! No wait...Akihiko-san's not that type of guy so you don't need to worry. It's like the opposite, he'd be way too serious if he was in a relationship.”

Hey now. That's me you're talking about.

“Actually why don't you try to get him? Seriously?”

No. Have you seen the creepy grin on that guy? It would label a guy as a pervert if it weren’t for the fact he was so popular.

“...a transfer girl swoops in a steals the heart of the guy every girl wants...don't you think it'd be totally cool?”

“No. That sounds like making too many enemies for my liking.”

“Aww really. I thought it would be fu-”

Junpei shut up when he realized the glare he was receiving from Minako was less than friendly. But eventually the topic switched to more easier topics.

“Oh crud is it already this late? Man, I enjoy being around you for some reason.”

And that in no way could be taken by something else by other people.

The two continued talking on their way back to the dorm, Minako seeing another Magician card slide into place.

“Where have you been?” Akihiko asked.

Confirming with Junpei that I am in no way dating you.

Had a drink at that cafe and don't feel like spending more time in the Arcade. This leaves only one thing...KARAOKE!

She'll only come out at night~. The lean and hungry type~.

5/1 8 days until the Full Moon'

Minako and Yukari met up on the train and kept talking all the way to school. It was when they were there that Yukari noticed that it was warmer...but it was May after all.

Dang it. That hospital visit really did throw me for a loop.

“Really?”

“Seriously! Time does seem to fly. Ya know, it doesn't seem like the number of Apathy Syndrome cases have been decreasing. We are the only ones who can fight the Shadows so...I guess we should train more so we are ready if anything like THAT comes up again.”

Ooooh yes. Need to be ready for those. I'm not expecting...him...to pop up again so this won't be as easy.

“FYI, Akihiko-san's at the hospital getting a checkup.” Junpei told Minako and Yukari after school. He said that Akihiko asked for Junpei for something but Yukari countered that it's only because Junpei's avaliable.

“H-hey, I resent that.”

“I'm just kidding.” Yukari asked what Akihiko wanted and Junpei said it was the roster for 2-E.

Hmm? Is another Persona-user there.

“Well I don't have practice today so I'll go with you.” She then turned to Minako. “You're coming too, right?”

Student Council and Tennis are calling me and you guys...alright.

“Definitely.”

Junpei did a object a little since Akihiko did ask him but...

Who's the guy on the bed. Looks tough and scary. Definitely not my type. Nice coat though.

“Hey is Akihiko-san...in this room, by any chance.” Junpei nervously asked the tough guy. However Akihiko just entered in the room and asked what they were all doing.

“We came here to see you,” Minako said.

“I'm just here for a checkup.” Akihiko replied. The tough guy seemed concerned for him but then quickly left, only stopping to take a glance at Minako.

“Who was that?” Junpei asked.

“A friend from school...sort of.” Akihiko then told the trio that the guy was asking around about Apathy Syndrome. Akihiko then asked Junpei for the roster of which, Junpei gladly gave.

“By the way, Senpai, why boxing?” Yukari asked.

“You mean, why did I choose that sport? Well...” Akihiko started. “It's not the sport itself I like; I just wanted to learn how to fight. I know what it's like to feel powerless and I don't want to feel that way again. Besides I'm curious to see how strong I can get.”

And there's that grin. Junpei, notice that grin.

Friday. Friday is studying. Maybe that'll get my head away from that grin.

Now why did the reporter not even notice the guy he interviewed had Apathy Syndrome?

The Kitora tomb...I knew this would be interesting!

5/2 Half Moon

Minako overheard the gossips talking about some sort of shopping channel with a catchy theme that was on on Sundays.

Might check it out. But today is sale day at the Pharmacy. I'd get my health stuff there first than a less than reputable shopping channel.

3 Revival Beads and 1 Muscle Drink for Theo. Okay. Time to see how Bunkichi and Mitsuko are doing.

“That's strange,” Bunkichi said. “I'm sure I left it around here but I can't seem to find it.”

“Looking for something?” Minako asked.

“Minako-chan? How'd you know I was looking for something? Are you psychic?”

Uh no...it's pretty obvious...

“I'm looking for my glasses...no not my glasses—my wallet. I can't seem to find it.”

“I'll help you look for it.”

“Wow Minako-chan, you really can read minds! I was just thinking it'd be nice if someone lend us a hand.”

Why would I not help you?

Minako and Bunkichi and Mitsuko looked high and low around the store but couldn't find it until...

“Konnichiwa, 'ello!”

A Mysterious Foreigner appeared with a wallet in hand. Bunkichi was pleased to have it returned. The foreigner introduced himself to Minako.

“I came 'ere from France to study abroad. My name is Andre Laurent Jean Geraux but zey call me “Bebe!”

How do you get Bebe from a name like that?

“Nice to meet you.”

“It ez a pleasure to meet you too! I work in ze Home Economics Room every day! If you are bored, just come say 'ello!”

Mysterious home ec, solved.

Bebe left right after.

“Well...he seemed like an interesting young man.”

That works.

Bunkichi then took out a key in the wallet. It was for his son's car and since Minako was around, he felt like taking a ride.

“Please don't! Why must you get into a car!” Mitsuko exclaimed. “Do you want me to end up all alone!?”

“A-alone?”

“Um...Minako-chan, I'm sorry for raising my voice. Did I scare you?”

“Yes. Um...”

“Our son...remember what I told you? He passed away. On the way home from work, he got into an accident. He was hit by a dump truck driver who was drunk on the job.”

How dare he be!

“I'm sorry to hear that...”

“Minako-chan, please slap me. Slap me for being such an insensitive fool. With all my excitement, I forgot to consider what my wife might feel...I'm such a...such a...”

Minako hugged Bunkichi tight. “I'm not going to do that. Not at all. I've lost members of my family as well. So...”

He hugged her back a little. “Now why should we let this get us down? Since I found my wallet, why don't we eat out dear?” He said to Mitsuko. “Thank you for searching with us Minako-chan. Consider this your allowence.” He then stuffed a Medicine in her pocket.

“Thank you. I'll see you two tomorrow!” Minako waved behind her as another Hierophant appeared.

“'sup dude? Three day weekend starting tomorrow!” Junpei happily said. “I asked some peeps if they wanted to hang out but the only ones who were interested were guys. Man, I don't want no sausage fest.”

“Monday if you want-”

Mitsuru then spoke up. “Need I remind you that midterms are quickly appoarching? You'd best use your time wisely.”

“You just HAD to remind me.” Yukari said.

“Oh! Yukari! Do you know anything about Pine Resin?”

“Why would I-ohhh! You mean the powder we use in Archery Club right? The yellow stuff? I think I have some, hang on...”

Yukari quickly went up to her room and gave her a small canstier of the Resin.

“Thanks!” And Minako headed out for her Saturday Karaoke, stopping by the Velvet Room to give the Resin and the Drink for a bow for Yukari and Minako's winter outfit...for armor.

Oh where oh where can my baby be~?

Dark Hour

“Hi, how have you been?”

Minako prayed to God that Pharos didn't notice the dried tears.

“One week from now, there will be a full moon. Be careful, a new ordeal awaits you.”

“Ordeal? What kind of ordeal?”

“You will encounter one of THEM.”

So...shadow hands again?

“You must prepare for the ordeal but time is of the essence. I'm sure you're aware of that, of course. I'll come see you again when it's over. Goodbye for now.” And Pharos vanished again.

So reach top of the block of Tartarus by Friday night. Sounds easy enough. Good. Something to keep me focused.

By the way, I know that one of the requests from Theo requires not getting the courage concotion and getting a certian item from him. Can I do that anytime or is it just after I accept the request?

I think it's after you accept the request. There are several of the Velvet Quests where the event that gives you the item doesn't appear until you accept the quest.

Also, Theo doesn't seem nearly as enjoyable as Elizabeth.

Also also, I was just thinking of Maneater before I saw this update!

DARN IT! I believe it comes at a time when I never get tired...but I can check.

He's...somewhat less out-there and more innocent.

Actually, Edogawa will give you the Powerful Drug anytime you say you don't want to try the jujube-rabbit's foot-etc concoction.

Minako seems to know a bit about quite a wide range of things, huh?

Sorry for my misinformation. You have to be tired to even go for it, and I only attempted the quest at the point in the game where the only way to get tired is random chance during studying or right after a Full Moon.

Again, sorry.

@Arrow Ah. That's alright. It just means I can get it sooner than later! (And give up one of my courage boosting days but eh.)

@Pulse -shrug- I guess she was partially raised with TV since Maya does have to work a lot. And did I mention that she loves music?
