Move over Gromell, Jill rules this mountain now!

This chapter was dominated by Jill and Ike, as they are the lowest level people in my party, and needed the experience.

Chapter 25 - Strange Lands: Finished.

Stefan, Mist & Mordecai: The least active people here, they mostly just ran up the left side of the mountain and smacked around a couple of foes when Ike wasn't able to deal with them without triggering a rock trap. Once they reached the top, they decided to push all of the rocks down, since they had nothing better to do.

Soren: Stayed at the bottom, dealing with any enemies coming in from the eastern side of the mountain. He only got into a few more fights than the other guys, but his Thunder Magic rank reached S level, so thats good.

Jill: The first half of the mountain takeover, she started by pulling out her Javelin and flying onto the mountain. She lured out Gromell, smashed him on the following turn with a Silver Lance after he'd gotten healed from his javelin wounds, and then flew to the top and killed everyone there while Ike and pals scaled the mountain. She took no damage doing any of this, aside from when the catapult guy hit her with a rock. She left three warriors whom Ike then killed, and let him have the rest of the foes.

Ike: He took over when he reached the top, taking down any of the remaining foes in the area that Jill hadn't provoked (mostly anyone on the east side of the mountain, since Jill left them alone), and pushed down any rocks that were in his way as he headed down the area and dealt with the remaining foes.

Gromell: Jill fought him, throwing Javelins into him as he feebly countered with a Bolt Axe throw. He then flew off, got Physic'd, and then Jill finished him off with a Silver lance, hitting him with Stun, and then killing him with a normal strike.

VS Gromell: Jill flew up to meet the enemy commander, who was the only thing standing between her and the soon to be shattered ranks of foes above them. If they thought they'd be able to use those traps against them, they had another thing coming.

"Hmph! So you're Shiharam's daughter? You may ride a wyvern like your father, but you know nothing of a true knight's faithfulness!"

Jill ignored the mans jibe, and easily dodged the odd thrown axe. The runes on it revealed it was a magical weapon, but simply having a well made weapon wouldn't stop her. She threw two of her javelins, one catching the mans shoulder, while the second struck his dragons wing. The man gave a tug of the reins, and flew up a bit higher, landing on an outcropping of rock and signaling for a bishop to the east to heal him. As the man and his mounts wounds both closed, Jill took the chance to rearm herself with the more powerful Silver Lance, and then made use of the maneuver she had read about in that odd scroll they had gotten from the Daein ship so long ago.

She signaled to her mount, and as the man was turning his attention back to her, he bore witness to a wyvern spiraling towards him, unfurling its wings, and then tackling his own mount into the rocky mountain wall, as Jill drove her spear into the mans arm. He gave a strike with his axe, but he was unable to hit Jill as she took back to the air, and she finished him off quickly, so that she could begin the next part of the plan.

Up Next: We face the next of the Four Riders of Daein, Bertram, in one of the biggest chapters in the game!

You must have been a speed demon to reach the top before all the boulders had been pushed.

Falling rocks did more damage to the boss than I did—I think three of them hit, then Ike borrowed Tanith's forged Ghostblade and Cherry Tapped him. Everyone else was too injured to risk attacking, so that was quite fortunate. Thanks guys!

Actually, I just had Jill kill Gromell and kill the boulder pushers on one side, while the others stand out of the way of the boulders fall paths, and climb their way up.

I've seen the enemy themselves kill Gromell with a boulder, by having Tanith fly up with the Sonic Sword, knocking his health down to below 10, and putting the two of them into a boulders path. I'm sure you can guess what happened next.
