Go To

Episode 6: Clearly I will go Sailing no More.

So today’s the day where we go aboard the S.S Anne, get the Cut HM and beat LT. Surge to get the Thunder Badge, so let’s hop aboard the boat and get going!

But first, I have some business to take care of. You see, Doze the Raticate is becoming sort of a deadweight and is no longer CREDIT TO TEAM so I’m going to retire him and he will have a comfortable retirement without the fear of dying ever. So goodbye Doze and say hello to our newest team member Quarters the Sandslash.

Now we board the S.S Anne for real, I switch the first Pokemon from Quarters (who I was training beforehand) to Eridan and started thrashing the crap out of all the passengers aboard the S.S Anne with my beloved homicidal Wartortle and as you might of guessed, It doesn’t take long for Eridan to reach Level 36 and evolve into a Blastoise. I’ve always pampered Eridan in that regard. Now it’s around the time where Dave pops out of nowhere and challenges us to a battle so I swapped Eridan with Itchy and proceeded to sweep his team, yet again.

But my god Itchy, you didn’t need to inflict that much damage on his Raticate. It wouldn’t surprise me if the poor thing died from those wounds...

So after that battle we head to the Captains quarters and get the Cut HM then watch as the ship departs from the harbour, but now I’m faced with a dilemma, I have one overpowered member of my party with the rest of my team an you know what that means... GRINDING TIME!

So I defeated all the trainers on Route 11 (as well as catching a Drowzee called Sawbuck) it dawned upon me that I also needed to get Flash as well as that the Diglett Cave was a better place to train my overly powered Pokemon than Route 11 was anyway. The first time I went into the Diglett Cave, I just caught a Diglett (I named him Hella Jeff) and biked through it to get the Flash TM. Then I went back to seriously train my Pokemon to Level 36 (to be on par with Eridan).

I got Eggs (who promptly evolved into a Pidgeot, breaking one of the old, unspoken rules of a Nuzlocke challenge that Pidgeys always die before reaching their final form), Quarters and Fin to Level 36 it’s now time for Rose’s turn to get to Level 36.

It started off good. Rose was able to punch Digletts into the next calendar, but then a Dugtrio popped up. Rose had taken out Dugtrios before without any qualms so I just ordered her to use Body Slam on it. Oh it went underground? Don’t worry, Rose will be able to shrug it off like all the other times a Dugtrio used Dig on her, so c’mon Rose! Let’s get back into the fray!

Rose?

Rose...?

No...No... Please Rose, please get up. We can do this Rose; all you have to do is get back up! We can do this!

Why aren’t you breathing Rose? Have I... Have I lost you..? No.... You're really gone for good...

~*sniff*~ Why, of all my Pokemon, does it have to be Rose to be the first to go? She was one of my favourites and she was close to retirement god damnit! Who am I gonna replace her with? No, Rose can’t be replaced; only her spot on the team can be “replaced” by another Pokemon.

And the Pokemon I chose for that role was Die the Persian, who got up to level 36 quite quickly and curb stomped Surge’s Gym in a form of my Unstoppable Rage in the name of the late Rose.

So I’m ready to clear the Rock Tunnel and beat Erika’s Gym. But I’ve payed the price of losing Rose, one of my favourites, one of the Pokemon I held dear to me... I’m sorry I’m just tearing up just thinking about it.

R.I.P Rose.
