Some speak legends of a man. A man who braved the horrors and traps of a sprawling testament to the wickedness and depravity of spirits from the beyond. To save his brother. They cite his odd manner of accomplishing his task as being straightforward and cautious, and his refusal to touch even one cent of money as a selfless desire to not be distracted on his quest. They speak of a man so determined to rescue his sibling he spoke not a word nor gazed upon anything deemed irrelevant to his goal. A hero. A tale of one man's bravery.

Others speak legends of a brutal warmonger, who stormed the mansion to exact vengeance upon the spirits that had claimed his brother, paying their crimes back with disproportionate, cruel "justice". Drawing out the figurative demises of each undead he met, leaving just a few to suffer the trauma of seeing their comrades given such horrible fates. Destroying all in his path, he walked unflinchingly and soullessly, hellbent on his task. A monster. A tale of one man's depravity.

Today, we shed light on the truth. What was really happening in Luigi Mario's mind. His thoughts, his dreams. Why he picked up not but one treasure. Why he dove into a mansion of ghosts. Why he took a long time to vacuum each spirit up.

If you are here hoping to read a tale of a hero, bravely vanquishing his foes in the name of his brother Mario Mario, turn away. Do not read further, for you shall only be met with disappointment.

If you are here hoping to read a tale of a monster, brutally slaughtering his foes in the name of bloodlust, turn back. Leave at once, for you too shall only be met with disappointment.

If you are still here, wondering what could possibly happen here, continue reading. For today we tell the legend of a mad and unstable individual; a warped worldview brought upon by perhaps years of his brother's overcast shadow, or perhaps a genetic defect. A lunatic. A tale of one man's madness.

Hehe! Love the way you show what is really going on, and how Luigi perceives the events of the game.
