Trope
Usually a Fan Fic trope- popular in HurtComfortFic. Our main character has been through a lot- rape, drug addiction, terminal illness. But after his or her love interest has sex with them, all the pain goes away- magically. In fanfic circles, this is called 'the healing cock'

Horrendously subverted in the movie The Legend Of Hell House. The young female psychic thinks that by offering herself to the ghost of a tormented young man, he might know peace and move on. Let's just say that this does not turn out to be a romantic and cathartic experience like that one scene in Ghost. She gets violated by the vindictive apparition, which was never a young troubled man but the ghost of the house's murderous old owner.

    I much prefer Magic Cock.

    • Happens in Team America when Matt "heals" Lisa through NC-17 rated puppet sex.

It's more 'emotional trauma' being healed but do you guys think this is distinct enough? and are we allowed to have 'cock' in our trope titles?

Probably not, but I'm still going to make this my catchphrase from now on.

Heh, I don't think that would have much success as a pickup line... I have a magic cock!

"Magic cock"? Oh come on, what about lesbian sex?

My cock is not only magic, but a Boring Invincible Hero with a Shockingly Cool Counter Attack and Blessed With Awesome.

Sigh. How sad is it that the above makes perfect sense to me?

@ melloncollie: _THAT'S_ how magic it is! In a cave! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!

Mellon, that is true- the fact that slash and het are prevalent in fanfiction over femmeslash has leaked into the terminology. Therefore, on tvtropes, we'll have a more inclusive title.

I might need to go back through the Elemental Logic series to see if it has this trope.

Well uh... the only instance I've seen this trope, it involved lesbian sex. Attack Girls Swim Team vs. The Undead, if anyone was interested.

...you know...there's not usually an explanation given. Except for LURVE. Should we add a few sentences to intimate healing?

    Reading this again...

Seems like, Sex + Angst What Angst.

    • Watchmen (the comic). The heroes were too late, millions of New Yorkers have just died, and the first thing Dan and Laurie do is have sex. Laurie justifies it in a way that fits this trope.

Marian helps Robin Hood through his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from the Crusades by sleeping with him in the novel Lady of the Forest by Jennifer Roberson.

I'm not sure if it counts, but in the movie Baby Boy, the main character loses his temper and slaps his girlfriend, and then she starts breaking down and crying uncontrollably. So he picks her up, carries her to the bedroom and gives her oral sex while sad music plays. She forgives him and it's never mentioned again.
