2	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The first opening, "Nirvana" by MUCC, if for no other reason than those mind-blowing vocals.
3	* BrokenBase: Would the anime adaptation have benefited from adapting more chapters of the manga? Or was the anime adaptation able to end on a satisfying note even if it only adapted the early chapters of the manga?

5	** Karuta Roromiya is the most popular resident of Ayakashi Hall aside from Ririchiyo and Soushi. Even though she doesn't do much in terms of plot, her [[{{Moe}} stoic cloudcuckoolandery]] and gluttonous tendencies are very amusing to a lot of fans. Made even more apparent in the anime adaptation where she was voiced by the very popular Creator/KanaHanazawa.
6	** Chino Kotomura is the most popular of the Ayakashi maids for similar reasons to Karuta.
7	** Among the male characters, Watanuki is well-liked for being a cute, {{Adorkable}} {{Bishonen}}, his adorable relationship with Karuta, and [[spoiler: the [[BefriendingTheEnemy interesting friendship he develops with Inugami]] that ultimately ends up saving everyone]].
8	* GeniusBonus: In biology, an atavist is "a genetic characteristic emerging after absence from several generations" or "an organism that has the characteristics of a more primitive type of that organism." Both definitions easily apply to the atavists in the series, a group of "genetic throwbacks" who essentially reincarnate into themselves every time they die.

10	** Between Karuta and Ririchiyo, such as the former trying to feed the latter, much to Nobara's delight.
11	** An entirely one-sided example with Zange and Soushi, as Zange tends to flirt and fawn over Soushi when they're together. While Soushi lets him do so without protest, he never engages with Zange or acts with anything other than polite evasion.
12	** In the reincarnation timeline there seems to be shades of this occurring between Zange and Renshou, with them playing at a "mommy" and "daddy" act.

15	** Watanuki is a male example, especially in the second half [[spoiler: where he becomes younger and acts more openly childish as a result]].

17	* OneTruePairing: Outside of the main pairing, a lot of fans took a liking towards Watanuki x Karuta, especially because it's acknowledged in canon that the two like each other.
